The first thing we noticed when we walked into our room was the overpowering smell of paint in the room from remodeling. I then noticed the window on our ground level room did not lock. I slept very little as the room was way too hot and the AC was very noisy. The next day when we returned from lunch,... more

What a dive. made reservations through Travelocity. That went well. Called day before our arrival and confirmed our reservation. Family suite, two queen size beds and a smoking room. They said it was reserved. Upon arrival it took 55 minutes to check in, there were 5 people ahead of me. Finally my turn. I was told there were know family... more

Our basketball team stayed for a weekend tournament. The hotel pictures on the internet looked nice. Upon checking in, the hotel lobby looked decent, but once we walked down the halls it showed its true colors. The floor was visible warped...you could feel lumps under the carpeting as if there was swelling from water damage. The hotel is so rundown...It... more

We stayed at the Holiday Manor in because the website advertised large family rooms, to sleep 6. We checked other surrounding hotels and the price here was a bit lower and the rooms were claimed to be very large. Well we should have run for the hills from the moment of checking in. The person checking us in was rude,... more

I have been to this hotel in the past and was not too impressed. I was in that area again the other day and thought I would try it again...(the rates are very reasonable)....I was was pleasently suprised. I guess the hotel was bought out and the new owners are putting some money into the place. There was new carpet... more

Upon arrival we were greeted with a snobby staff. The room itself was ok, but that is all we got a room. Wanting to pop a bag of popcorn purchased from the vending machine for $1.25 I had to pay an additional .25 to pop the popcorn, I have never before seen pay to use microwave. "WOW" Our daughter who... more

My niece was married in Menomonie so she had the reception in their conference center (fine facility). We booked there because that was the location of the reception (we didn't know anything about other hotels in the area). At first glance, the Holiday Manor Inn was a pit....grass a foot high - weedy and going to seed. Our experience with... more

Property was like run down when last stayed here about 6 months back. New owners have definetly started improving the hotel. New Pillowtop mattress are awesome. Felt just like home. Newer paint in poolside makes it look nicer. Biggest pool in the area. Kids were enjoying the pool. Hot tub was great and relaxing. Couldn't ask for better breakfast for... more

I did not have a bad expereience with staff. I found them rather plesant. Yet, I expected a greater experience out of the poolside room. However, once I stepped out of the lobby, I saw that the rest of the hotel had not been well maintained. Our room had a toilet that didn't work, beer cans from the last guests,... more
