My wife and I are very glad we added a couple days on to our stay in Wisconsin to stay at Oaklawn. The house is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable and cozy, and Maggie, the host Is charming and very helpful. Even when I announced the morning of our first night there that we would arrive a few hours... More

Thank you for your kind words. It was my pleasure to be able help you find some of Menomonie's hidden jewels. So glad you were able tour the Mabel Tainter. I enjoyed our morning chats and hearing about your travel adventures. I'm always impressed by the curiosity that my guests have for going places and trying new things. More

Nice stay in old fashioned farm house with gracious host. Pretty little small town with great bike trail along red cedar river. Recommend Skoog's supper club for dining - authentic Wisconsin supper club

My wife and I were in the area for a family wedding and were able to book all of the rooms for family members. The wedding was great but the opportunity to sit on the wonderful porch and catch up with family news was even better. The check in process was painless and our rooms were all very comfortable. Each... More

Thank you. There’s nothing more satisfying to me than hearing the sounds of good conversation and laughter coming from my porch on a warm summer night--proof that guests are having a good time together. You folks squeezed lots of fun into a short time. Hope you'll return. There’s more to explore. More

Everything was very nice at Oaklawn. Just some things indicated maintenance may be slipping. Water stain on the ceiling, spider webs on the inside of windows, that sort of thing. Breakfast was good. The room seemed clean. The bed was comfortable. All in all a nice stay.

Thank you for your comments. It is always good to see Oaklawn through someone else’s eyes. Perhaps I’ve been focusing too much of my attention on the exterior maintenance projects planned for this summer. As a matter of fact, I had just painted the guest entrance porch before you arrived. Last week, I had most of the windows in the... More

We were pleasantly surprised by our random selection of this inn. It is a renovated farmhouse run by Maggie, a delightful innkeeper. The rooms are clean and a supply of beverages always available. Breakfast was lovely.

We had a great experience staying with Maggie. Met other wonderful guests and learned a lot about Menomonie and Stout. Breakfast was delicious and we look forward to staying here again. Welcoming place to stay.

We have stayed here several times and are never disappointed. The Inn is a beautifully furnished Victorian farmhouse with 4 bedrooms, all lovely decorated and very comfortable. Maggie's furnishings in the downstairs rooms are lovely and makes one want to spend time relaxing. We also love the screened in porch which is relaxing anytime of day. Maggie has wonderful breakfasts... More

Oak lawn is a true treasure for Menomonie. Maggie provides comfortable rooms, a delicious breakfast, and areas for relaxing. The house is an important piece of Wisconsin history, and she has lovingly restored it and added all the modern comforts. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

Carol, so glad you all enjoyed your stay. What a pleasure to share Oaklawn with folks who have memories from their childhood of the farm and Menomonie. Your laughter warmed up my living room on a cold New Year's Eve night. I look forward to seeing you, again. More

I stayed at the Oak Lawn Inn for 3 days while I had business meetings in Menomonie. It was wonderful - would definitely return. Maggie was very welcoming and accommodated special requests with grace and competence. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. Wifi, essential when traveling on business, was strong and worked well. Maggie has tastefully decorated the house to be... More

We had lots of work to do closing up an elderly relative's home and making arrangements for sale of contents and the property. We were looking for a place to relax and wind down. What serendipity to have found Oaklawn Inn and Maggie! It was pure heaven after busy, busy days...comfortable, welcoming and soooo quiet. Just what we wanted. Maggie... More
