We stayed at The Parsonage for our anniversary. The place was beautiful and very peaceful. Craig and Cathy have done a marvelous job of creating an atmosphere of relaxation and comfort. Craig was very attentive without being intrusive. The breakfast was amazing, Craig's glazed bacon lives up to its reputation! We had a wonderful time and will definitely return. We... More

We stayed in the Reverend's Retreat with our two small children--what a perfect place to relax after a busy day! A king-size bed in the bedroom--twin beds, futon, arm chairs, and a dining set in the main area--this suite has everything! A delicious breakfast (chile rellano egg bake with key lime mango salsa, strawberries, sausage, and lemon blueberry muffins--perfection!), early... More

This was our 4th or 5th time at The Parsonage - as always a wonderful, relaxing stay. Craig is wonderful and makes you feel at home. McFarland is a nice quiet town outside of Madison - just far enough to get out of the city. Always great food and company. It is always good to catch up with Craig. If... More

We stayed here just one night and wish we could have stayed longer. We may return soon. This B&B is in an area outside if Madison in a very quiet area. Nice rooms, excellent breakfast, and welcoming and helpful hosts. This may be the quietest place I ever stayed. If you are in the Madison area you should patronize the... More

I stayed at The Parsonage regularly over the past 2 1/2 years while I worked near Madison, WI. The innkeepers, Craig & Cathy, were wonderful, allowing me the flexibility and long-term option I needed. Craig worked with me to make it affordable. The Parsonage truly became my home away from home, even providing the companionship of two lovely dogs when I... More

We stayed here for a weekend with a group of friends. We rented most of the rooms in the B&B for our group and chose this place based on price and location. They provide a wonderful breakfast each morning (cooked by the owner) and also have snacks (freshly baked cookies!) available for other times of the day. The owner also... More

We attended a concert at the Stoughton Opera House in Stoughton, WI. The Parsonage B&B was relatively close. There were four of us, and we reserved the two room suite on the third floor (king bed with bathroom, and two twin beds). There is also a futon for additional people. There was comfortable seating, TV, and a table and chairs.... More

This is a lovely older remodeled house. (1900?). Very clean and very comfortable. Craig is a gracious host and exceptional cook.(Chef?). It is located on a quiet street in a small neighborhood. 10 minutes to Madison if you need anything. We enjoyed our stay there and look forward to another.

We decided to visit Madison from Chicago as a weekend getaway. We picked this 110-year-old former Lutheran parsonage because it was only 15 mins away from downtown Madison's Capitol Square. We couldn't have made a better decision. The Parsonage is an immaculately clean B&B, quiet (no televisions!), ornate, with a warm host and two sweet dogs. The Mentor room, where... More

My husband and I stayed for the weekend in the Bergee room. It was very nice and comfortable. The shower was excellent. The food couldn't have been better; I need to eat gluten-free and they prepared gluten-free egg dishes both days and even gluten-free blueberry muffins one of the mornings. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely... More
