I will admit, as a life long resident of Wisconsin I'd never heard of Mayville until my mom told me about a TravelZoo deal she saw when I mentioned my husband and I were looking for a short getaway. I looked up the Audobon Inn and things to do in Mayville and the surrounding area. The pictures of the Inn... More

This is an awesome getaway for couples. It is a historical landmark hotel that has been updated. It is a homey atmosphere and the staff are so pleasant. The rooms are wonderful and very inviting. The restaurant on site-NOLA is amazing. The food is awesome. We had a wonderful weekend getaway. It is a very peaceful town. There are no... More

This is my second review of the Audubon Inn. The title of my first review was "Average Audubon." While that review was being published, I was contacted by the owner who saw my initial comments through Living Social. I will explain after I recount our experience how he more than compensated for our problems. Our initial impression of the Inn... More

Strengths: Nola North Grille - reasonably priced, delicious food. Fabulous brunch. Jacuzzi Whirlpool Tub - large and wonderful. Pleasant service from the staff - excellent service from the dining staff. Delicious pralines. Loved the common areas on each floor. Loved the fact that there was an elevator. Areas of Needed Improvement: WIFI not always functioning in my room. Super firm... More

Our recent stay at the Audubon Inn was relaxing, fun and comfortable. Our room was spacious with all the amenities and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed conversing with Keith, the owner, regarding the recent and future renovations to the hotel. We ate in both the Nola North Grille and the Bar & Café. The menu was upscale creole cuisine and absolutely... More

This is my second mid-week, off-season getaway this year at the Audubon Inn as I have been working on a special project and need someplace quiet to focus on a special project. In addition, my husband and I came for a weekend overnight just before Easter. Each time, I've found the hospitality and accommodations consistent and superb. As some of... More

The Audubon Inn has a fantastic restaurant named NOLA (the Chef is fun, friendly and exciting). During our stay the entire staff was incredible caring and outgoing. The nightly turn down service with custom chocolates was superb! The building is a beautifully done and is a jewel to the area. We had a chance to meet the owner Keith. He... More

Dear Ray & Liz, You are too kind, but I agree 100% regarding Chef Lurie. She keeps us laughing and carrying on all day - she's such a character! Thank you for enjoying our quaint little escape as much as we do. Keith & Staff More

The staff is very friendly and very accomodating. The restaurant: NOLA is very good. The rooms are rather plain-the TV was way too small, a/c was very loud, the wands to open & close the window blinds did not work. . Overall not bad, but if you are looking for a romantic getaway this is not the place. Other reviews... More

accommodations, service, room comfort, and dedicated, helpful and professional staff focused on the best experience for customers. Then there's the food. Wonderful and plentiful. The stained glass windows, for which the inn is noted, are beautiful

The staff is extremely accommodating and welcoming. Felt like we were staying with relatives for the weekend. The restaurant, although a limited menu, was excellent. The Chef came out at each meal and checked in on the diners and her love of cooking quality food was evident. Rooms are cozy and well appointed. The massage therapist, who is one of... More

Dear Nichole L, Thank you so much for your kind words. Maybe one day I'll get one of those amazing massages that you enjoyed so much, but for now, our guests keep Amanda far too busy with appointments to have any energy left for me! As you probably know, a smaller menu = freshly prepared food that is never processed,... More
