This is a beautiful hotel. When you pull into the reception area and first see that view, it really does take your breath away. We were a little hesitant about booking here, since it seemed predominantly like a couples/honeymooners spot, but saw all the great reviews from families and changed our mind. Very glad we did! Although we had booked... More

First of all, Punta Islita is not a top-noch hiper luxury hideway, so set your expectation properly if you are an hotel entusiast like me and you are planning to go there just based on the many awards and positive reviews it gets. Location is very remote and nice but somehow a kind of "no fish - no meat" in... More

We've just returned from a five-night stay at Punta Islita. We arrived by van from Monteverde. It was a long and rough trip, but well worth it. Check-in was nice in the restaurant with a complimentary drink. Very nice, if a little slow. We were starving. It would have been nice to eat lunch before checking in. Our room was... More

Perfecto! Food fresh, well prepared, nicely plated, and reasonably priced. All service excellent with dignified, friendly and professional staff happy to serve. Room (Golf 1) was newly furnished, spacious, clean and comfortable with high ceilings and large walk-in showers. We enjoyed Kayaking, Zip line, horseback riding and hiking, all guided by knowlegable staff with good equipment. The spa was relaxing... More

We stayed for 5 nights in a suite (with plunge pool) - we had a beautiful view (although also had an unwelcome visitor - a scorpion! Do make sure to shake out your clothes and towels before using them!). The best thing about the hotel is the pool area. Gorgeous, not too busy and with an amazing view of the... More

One of the most memorable moments of my life. Amazing people, everything is a postcard and the weather is always perfect, even when it's raining. I wish I could live there. This hotel had the mountains, ocean, and jungle all in one. Very quite and peaceful, you'll feel like your the only one there. - **** IT'S WORTH PAYING EXTRA... More
