My family has been going to LG for the past 50 plus years. Sadly we do not have a house there anymore and until I can afford to buy one, Eleven Gables has been our go to place for those lake experiences we miss dearly. We have dogs and the owner is very accommodating to them. The owner is also... More

To whom it may concern, I have been going to this place over the years and love it for many reasons. First, though it isn't the cheapest place to stay, it is a great price considering it has it's own private pier, is quite, cozy and allows dogs! I have also seen the place change over the years and my... More

Our family decided to meet in Lake Geneva for a pre-Christmas Christmas for our daughter and son. We rented out the whole inn and had a great experience staying here. The rooms were quite cosy with individual fireplaces in each room to keep us warm. The main reception/living room was a central meeting and gathering place with a big screen... More

We stayed here last weekend during Octoberfest. It was great to be close to town, but located on a fairly quiet side street so you don't get the endless traffic that main streets can get. The inn is located right across the street from the lake and is a great jumping off point to do the lake trail with all... More

We stayed here this past summer and were more than disappointed. The ONLY positive was the location, although in the height of summer, it proved to be in the thick of Lake Geneva traffic, which was disruptive. The first thing we noted were the obituaries hanging in the entry area. Yes, obits. Apparently, Gary, the proprietor, likes them and thought... More

We stayed in the main house. The good - The owner, Gary, is a very friendly fellow and his coon hound, Lexi, was friendly to us, but we didn't have a pet with us. The Inn location is perfect. Very close to the downtown area, but without the hectic touristy hotel area closer in. Good free parking at the Inn.... More

Not good, i.e., where's Norman Bates? Friends from So. Illinois and I (from Minnesota) planned to meet in Lake Geneva with our dogs for last weekend. My friend found Eleven Gables online as a dog friendly spot, and there was the 2-bedroom cottage available. Gary met me at the Inn to check in on Friday. He emerged from the back... More

If you are looking for a fantastic location, this place has it. However, the web site for Eleven Gables needs a reality check. The bathroom was fine, but the cabin itself was so run down and miskept. The place reminded me of something that was in great need of attention. There was liquid soap for hands, clean towels and sheets,... More
