I grew up in this little town and the Carnegie Library was central to my childhood. This B&B is excellently run, great atmosphere, comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The sitting area upstairs is a good gathering spot for a late drink and visit. My Mom and I had a chance to catch up and enjoyed the first snow last Nov. Mr... More

Pleasantly surprised at our stay at this B & B on our way through Wisconsin. For under $100 you can stay on the river in your choice of rooms (Jane Austin, Roosevelt,..) have snacks, beverages and have a picnic overlooking the river. There is an entire library to choose from along with magazines and newspapers. To top it off, the... More

Stayed here for 1 eve by accident. Have driven past here for many yrs without stopping. My mistake but no more. This is a awasome B & B with very clean everything. The owners are so friendly and the morning breakfast is to die for. Some restraunts aren't this good. Next time I go back to Ladysmith ,I won't be... More

What a luxurious and historic place to stay. A public library donated to the folks of Ladysmith in 1907 by Andrew Carnegie has been converted to a bed and breakfast by a charming couple. There are six themed rooms decorated with period collectibles, retaining the ambience of this turn of the century library. Complete with a central sitting room with... More

I have never stayed at a Bed &Breakfast before so I was leery about my accommodations, however this is a great place to stay. This is a library which was converted to a Bed &Breakfast. There are five rooms, each with a theme with related books and articles placed around the rooms. The rooms are spacious, with nicely done private... More

My husband and I stayed at Carnegie Hall while visiting family in Ladysmith. Pat and Marty were wonderful hosts! We stayed in the Civil War room which was very large and comfortable. The bed was excellent and the room had a large shower. We loved the upstairs sitting room filled with old books! I must also mention how immaculate the... More

Decided to stay there quite by accident on the way to the UP. Really glad we did. Very clean, the decor was very well done. As a bibliophile, enjoyed looking at all the old books in the common area. Nice touch were the brass plates on the room doors with the names and times of tenure for the various head... More

Immaculately clean and exceptional details. In prior years we were put off by the price (not expensive, we are just tight). This year we decided to go for it and found the meaning of value. Service was superb. Breakfast was outstanding, creative and gourmet.

My husband and I stayed at the Carneige Hall B & B while visiting with relatives the past weekend. Loved it. Immaculate, nicely decorated, totally charming from top to bottom. Breakfast was really fine. Hard to believe that I used to read in that building many many years ago. Well stay there on our return trip.

I stayed at the Carnegie Hall B & B while traveling on business and I'm glad I did. This historic building is an original Carnegie Library now with with five themed guest rooms and two common areas. It has kept the essential character of a library with an abundance of books, many dating from the original library days, and tasteful... More
