We visited Madeline Island for our honeymoon and it was very relaxing. We had a room facing the water, with a fireplace and a Jacuzzi. We stayed in the Lighthouse suites and we're very pleased! The shower had 5 shower heads and was amazing. The Jacuzzi, however, took a long time to fill, but was so worth it! We ate... More

We loved this place so much, that we tried to re-book for Labor Day weekend! I can honestly say that it was among the best suites that we have stayed at. We were on ground floor, and had a patio looking out on the lake. Realllly nice! High ceilings, large jacuzzi, wet-bar... The best shower that I've used! We were... More

This place is beautiful! A lake view and patios with the suites. We had a regular room which was very large! Two sinks, nice looking bedding, large windows. The price is very reasonable especially because there is a deal with the art school here. Beautiful building on a gorgeous island. The girl at the front desk is wonderful, super friendly... More

2nd time there. We stayed at one of the lakefront properties call the Wave Crest. Property was way bigger then we expected, spacious bedrooms each with private bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen, grill, screened porch, fireplace, outside kids play area. We're right off the beach, you over look the water and hear the waves lap on shore in the evening. By... More

The Inn on Madeleine Island is absolutely breathtaking. They're right off the beach, you over look the water and hear the waves lap on shore in the evening. The only hastle is getting there; the ferry isn't cheap and it's the only way to get your car over. The price fore some of the rooms is a bit high, but... More

We stayed at one of the lakefront properties call the Mary Anne. Overall I was somewhat disappointed with it. They advertise having satellite yet there was 3 channels and that's it! Local was blacked out, then 30 infomercial channels and 3 actual channels. The DVD they provide also cannot be hooked up as the wrong cable are provided and who... More

This is a stunning island - not nearly as upscale as the Bayfield side of the ferry run, which I found a plus. I did not expect a 4-star hotel and it was not - although we had lovely high ceilings and a comfortable bed. What earned the 2 stars? The paper-thin walls combined with an old fashioned beeping alarm... More

The Inn appreciates all comments and takes all suggestions very seriously. We want to clarify the Lakeside Condominium rooms. An 'A" unit is a two bedroom condominium. A 'B' unit is a one bedroom condominium. Both one and two bedroom units have a lake view. Our guest, 2dkdkd, had a 'C" unit which is a standard hotel room with a... More

The Fairway Suites units are still under development, with one block of units completed and the other still under construction. Despite the name, the golf course view is distant through trees (and currently spoiled by mud and an abundance of cords/piping/mess from construction). The Inn on Madeline Island decided to go ahead and rent out the completed Fairway Suites units... More

Stayed here three nights with my wife. Had room 401 of light keepers. Bed was comfortable, room was spacious. Bathroom was large but toilet area was rather dark. We did not use the whirlpool, but did enjoy the multiple shower sprays. Staff was attentive to our questions, yet nothing special. Guess I expected them to be more outgoing welcoming us... More

We stayed two nights in a ground-floor room in the Lightkeeper's Lodge. The Lightkeeper's Lodge is a relatively new building with spacious rooms. We found the room and bathroom to be a bit dark. They had some sort of energy efficient light bulbs that took quite a while to fully warm up. The Inn is pretty much your only option... More
