I booked four nights at this charming bed and breakfast in some what of a panic the day I was to arrive in La Crosse. A large chain hotel that I was originally to stay at had lost my reservation and I needed a place quickly (unfortunately there were a couple of large events in town as well as Universty graduation that made rooms hard to come by, especially in my company's price range). The inn is within walking distance to the University, historic down town, and La Crosse Center (exactly one mile). The neighborhood is filled with historic homes and college students and as a single female traveler I felt safe.
The rooms are clean and quiet, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Dee tidied up the room each day, and provided me with thick, fresh towels and clean glassware as needed.
I did not spend much time in the commons room...
