Although the hotel itself is nothing special and might even leave much to be desired - the staff made all the difference. They were incredibly helpful, accomodating and friendly no matter how many times I called or required assistance. I would prefer that over 4 star amenities any day. more

I stayed at this hotel in February. While it's nothing fancy, the room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. If you're looking for a clean, no-frills, inexpensive hotel this place is for you. They even offer high-speed internet access at no extra charge. I would definitely recommend for the budget-minded traveller. more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Excel Inn in LaCrosse because we were spending the weekend at our alma mater. The hotel is close to the interstate and close enough to downtown to take a taxi for a few bucks. The rooms are a nice size, the staff friendly and everything was clean. more
