We booked into this B&B as a place to sleep, as we were spending the weekend with my boys grandmother and her place is now too small to fit us all. We arrived after 9pm after a long drive and were greeted by Vicky who showed us to our room and gave us keys. We had a twin room which... More

We had family staying for a birthday treat at Ancaster karting and came across the Ancaster B&B from google. So glad we did, nothing but good reviews and and each one justified. Very friendly staff, gorgeous old building with lots of history. So glad we decided to stay despite being close to the venue ourselves as it all added to... More

I normally stay in 4 or 5 star hotels for work, both in the UK, Ireland and overseas. Attending a wedding of friends who live in Ancaster, I went on their recommendation of staying here. What an excellent recommendation it was, and as for "value for money", it truly is! A great and warm welcome by Vicky, preceded discovering my... More

My friend and I were visiting Belton House so we wanted to stay nearby. I'm very thankful that I came across this B&B in my online research as the twin room was lovely, cosy and warm. They provided a small bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival and the en suite bathroom was very nice too. It was very homely... More

The warm welcome you receive when you arrive is just the start! The B&B itself is in a great location, in a short distance from Ancaster and Grantham train station, not too far from anything you might want to do. Full continental breakfast and full cooked breakfast were all included in the actual price. Vicky and Martin did everything they... More

Really liked this B+B, warm welcome and couldn't do enough to help out. Vicky found me a space to store my fishing rods overnight and filled my flask and helped out with some milk. Room was very clean and well appointed. There was even a mini bottle of wine and two complimentary chocolates, which was a nice touch.

A pleasant experience. Room good( no 1) with a generous sized shower. Traffic noise from the long straight Ermine St immediately outside. The pub next door has closed so getting dinner is not so easy. Pub by railway station (half k away) not exactly salubious. Parking is no problem as there is ample parking on the extremely wide pavement opposite.No... More

In choosing a B&B in the UK, where possible I look for a place that is recommended by the TripAdvisor community, is relatively easy to find, and has parking nearby. On all 3 counts, the Ancaster B&B ticks the right boxes. I was greeted warmly, and shown to a large room (No. 2) at the front of the building. The... More

After a long journey we arrived at the Ancaster and were warmly welcomed by Vicky. A superb room and we lacked nothing - every detail has been considered. An excellent breakfast too! We had a room at the front but there was very little noise from the road.
