I was here on a business trip for two nights. I had late check in and got in around 10 PM. The first room they sent me to had not been cleaned. It was on the seventh floor. So back down to the front desk and ask for another room. I get to this second room on the fifth floor,... More

Extremely poor customer service. Problems with billing. Housekeeping knocking on door, with so not disturbs sign on it) more than 45 min before required check out time. And then again 15 min before check out.

We won a new years eve package to stay at the hotel and have dinner. We had a bit of trouble checking in but when we finally got our room we found out it was the "haunted" room, which by the way is not and we had no kind of crazy weird experiences! Thank goodness.. The room was nice a... More

I've stayed here a few times. I used to live in Fond du Lac and still have family in the area. If i'm not staying with relatives, I usually stay here. Just because, to me, it is a Fond du Lac landmark, like Lakeside Park is. I know there are other probably nicer and less-expensive hotels to stay at, but... More

This hotel is a great place to stay and has a convenient downtown location with all of the bars, shops and restaurants within walking distance. It's a bit outdated and could use some improvements but all in all not a bad place. The heater in the room was super loud and the bathroom sink didn't drain very well. There were... More

Stayed here again for a wedding in town. It is old school but clean. Very quiet place to stay. So quiet we slept to late and missed the free breakfast which I heard was great. Would recommend to anyone wanting to be centrally located.

went here because of the haunted room. Stayed in room 717 with all our equipment going. Dead as door nails. On the other hand, very nice hotel with excellent breakfast. Rooms are well kept up, very quiet hotel I have ever stayed in. Would recommend to anyone.

We stayed four nights at the Retlaw. If you like old hotels this would be a great place to stay. We loved the way the hotel looked and you can't beat the location. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The place is dated but that's what we wanted. If you want modern and boring go stay at... More

The Retlaw Plaza Hotel has a bit of charm, but the charm is overshadowed by the need to modernize their facilities. Rooms, while not decrepit, need to be freshened up and bathrooms could use a bit of rehab. It seems to be straight out of the 1960s. TVs are very small screen CRT type as well. On the positive side,... More

This is one of the old Schroeder hotels that were located throughout the upper Midwest, beginning in the 1920s. The Schroeder (now Hilton) in Milwaukee, the Northland in Green Bay, and others. The Retlaw has been undergoing restoration, with the lobby and balcony area beautifully redone. There is a free parking garage run by the city just next door, and... More
