Located in a very rural part of Wisconsin (but not far from Madison) we had a great experience and tons of fun this past weekend. Martha and Bob showed us through the house and explained everything we needed to know. Although they live next door they were definitely not intrusive. This house had just about everything a family gathering would... More

We had a wonderful & peaceful weekend at the farmhouse. The boys loved playing outside and looking at the chickens. They even had a chance to play with Bob & Martha's adorable grandson Henry! The grounds are amazing. The house is clean and cozy. We loved exploring the town. The Cooksville Country Store has delicious cotton candy ice-cream! We will... More

We so enjoy staying at the Farmhouse. This is an annual trip and we love the peace and quiet of our home away from home. The roads around Cooksville are perfect for biking and we find new adventures every year. Thank you, Martha and Bob, for your hospitality. See you next year! P.S. Love the darts...next year I hope to... More

The house had a lot of historic character, but with the modern conveniences of a dishwasher, air conditioning and wifi. I stayed here while visiting family in the area, but the house itself could have been the destination if you were hoping to spend quality time with family and/or were interested in the history of the area. There is more... More

We had a large family gathering of kids and adults (coming from Milwaukee, St. Paul, and San Francisco) at Cooksville Farmhouse to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday. We had a lovely weekend in this charming and comfortable farmhouse & beautiful landscape. We enjoyed the game room, admired the collection of books and quilts and enjoyed learning about the history of... More

Summer is such a great time to stay in the farmhouse. These folks took advantage of the best that we have to offer. It's really fun for us to see people enjoy the place. They mentioned the "fully stocked kitchen." I just wanted to be clear that we do supply cooking equipment, but due to health department rules, we cannot... More

Loved it! Bob and Martha are lovely -- place is perfect in every way for a great stay! Couldn't improve on anything! Excellent hospitality & attention to detail! My husband loved all the books! Could spend months reading! Beautiful prairie & outdoors, too! Coming from the city (Chicago), we really enjoyed the outside grilling area and also picking fruit from... More

We wanted to thank you for our wonderful stay at the farmhouse. It was perfect for our family. The trails, fireplaces, view, mules, books and especially the full body massager. What a fun-filled time. Thank you for the perfect weather, also. Hope to see you again.

We reserved the farmhouse for a family holiday gathering just after Christmas in 2013 for four days. There was room for 10 of us - which is hard to find at such a great price - and even extra guests for dinner. At times we had up to 15 people socializing in the various rooms of the farmhouse and never... More

We weren't treated very nicely . They walked in the home while we were in bed. Door was locked. The house is cold. Price went up 50% during our time. Policy changed when we got there and were charged for a night we didn't use the extra room. Very disappointed. Had planned on returning every year.

Complaints regarding Cooksville Farmhouse Inn, Christmas Eve, 2013 Entry of owners unannounced - On the day of arrival the guest phoned at about 9:30 p.m. to say that the TV in the master bedroom was not working. TV with DVD in the fireplace room was okay. “Should we come right over?" we wanted to know. “No ,if you come in... More

We were looking for a cozy place to stay and celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary/second honeymoon. We wanted privacy, a fireplace, and a kitchen, as well as outdoor space to enjoy the snow. Cooksville Farmhouse had all this and more! It is absolutely perfect and Bob and Martha are lovely people and great hosts and provided everything we needed including... More

What a delight to host these folks for their special celebration. There is nothing more satisfying in the hospitality business than to see people enjoy your place. We sure hope these people come back and bring their friends. More
