My wife and I have stayed here for 15 years, even before Sue and Steve. The fact that we keep coming back speaks for itself. We have been recommending The Village Green Lodge to friends and family and without fail they have enjoyed their stays. Now all of my siblings gather every summer at Sue and Steves. Wonderful food, pool,... more

We have been staying at the Village Green Lodge ever since we started going to Door County 15 years ago. We go there two times per year: May and October. We have never been more pleased with a peaceful, smoke free, adult inn. Sue and Steve are tremendous hosts and the breakfasts are fantastic. The service is fantastice. They will... more

Sue and Steve work hard to provide a great environment for guests. They greeted us warmly and Steve carried our bags to our room. The facilities and food were great. The location was convenient-Across the street from a restaurant offering a fish boil (In my eyes, a fish boil is the Door County version of a Hawaiian luau); around the... more

Our three night here were relaxing and refreshing; pure joy. Steve and Sue are wonderful hosts and though running the B&B keeps them busy, they're always willing to talk and to give hints and pointers about things to do/see/where to eat in Door County. Room was clean and comfortable and free Wi-Fi was the icing on the cake. The fireplace... more

We had our fifth stay of the summer with Steve and Sue and the only thing we are sorry about is that we may not be back again until next summer. Of course, they are open year round and we have been known to make a winter time trip there. They just know how to make you want to come... more

Great stay all around. We haven't stayed in a B&B before, so this was an adjustment. as we are used to a lot more annonymity during our vacation. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Perhaps because this was not the 'prime' season (summer months), the clientele was definitely older than our age group. Median age seemed to be about 60.... more

Sue and Steve were wonderful, accomodating hosts. The setting is just a short distance from the main road and set in a wooded area that is quiet. We stayed in one of the suites and found it to be very comfortable. The breakfast buffet each morning was tasty and varied and served in a cozy dining area with a fireplace.... more

If you want cleanliness and friendliness, this is the place to stay! Sue and Steve are great hosts. We really enjoyed the breakfasts and special touches. I think we have found "our place" to stay in beautiful Door County! more

We stayed here in 2007. I enjoyed the quaintness of the place. I had never been to Door County before. Village Green Lodge was clean, and no weird smells in our room. The hosts, and staff were super friendly and helpful. Nice to have cookies and punch in the afternoon. I was really disapointed in the breakfast. It was built... more

I really enjoyed the Village Green Lodge. The owners were eager to answer questions -- and always friendly. It's a real treat to have the front desk people be so willing to answer what must be the same questions over and over day in and day out -- all with a smile. I enjoyed the breakfasts and afternoon cookies...they were... more
