My wife and I stayed in the Fireplace room for a week and were continually tickled by service and accommodations which were head and shoulders above what we expected. The room was impeccably clean. The furnishings comfortable and fun without being overbearing and "frou-frou." The fireplace looked great but the evenings were not cold enough to try it. The shower,... more

My husband and I spent a week a Trollhaugen Lodge. Norma and Terry were outstanding hosts and did everything they could to make sure our stay was pleasurable. They made every effort to make us feel at home. The breakfasts were very good and their company was very enjoyable. I am looking forward to staying at Trollhaven Lodge again next... more

We stayed 3 nights in the log cabin. It was a charming little cabin & everything was just as advertised. The towels were especially nice and the fireplace was great. Sometimes "quaint" is just a code word for old & run down but the cabin was pristine inside and nary a bug nor a spider to be seen (inside). Lot... more

Room was damp and dirty. Bathroom had dirty rugs and no hot water. I'd rather pitch a tent in Peninsula Park than stay in this hole again. more

We would like to respond to this review, but we do not know who this guest is. We only had one guest from the State of Missouri in July of 2008 and, unfortunately, that guest had already written a negative review. Perhaps this is the same guest and, if so, we would be happy to address any issues that this...

At the Trollhaugen Lodge they have a B&B, a Log Cabin, a small motel, and ample parking. My wife and I booked the Mini-Suite in the B&B and booked a regular room for her mother. The rooms were nicely decorated, spacious, and very clean; and the owners were wonderfully pleasant and informative. The Bed & Breakfast Inn has the homey... more

This place is the pits! The room was musty smelling. They put laminated signs around the room giving you instructions on which towels to use for different occasions. One sign said to use "this towel for make-up removal". Another sign said, "use this towel for coffee spills". There was also a hand made booklet in the room with more instructions... more

We have no idea who wrote this review because we had no complaints from any of our guests that were brought to our attention. If these guests would have addressed their concerns to us during their stay, we could have resolved their issues. We don't understand what the complaint was about as far as our informational signage and literature are...

We had a very pleasant and relaxing experience. We stayed in the B&B but I suspect our stay would have been just as nice if we'd stayed in one of the motel rooms. The grounds are adjacent to a nature preserve and we enjoyed the walk there. The Lodge is within walking distance of 'downtown' Ephraim and an easy drive... more

STAY AWAY! I spent two nights in a motel room at Trollhaugen. It was a dump. *The carpet was dirty. *The bathroom sink didn't work. Water came out in a trickle and was cold only. * There was no bathtub. * The motel has a humidity problem - the carpet felt damp to walk on and after a few hours... more

In response to this review, we would just like to mention some of the facts that were omitted. We do not hate children--we are a family-friendly lodge. We do not allow children in our B&B lodge. We do allow children in our motel and log cabin. The B&B is an adult environment and people pay extra for this accommodation. This...

We spent 3 nights at the Trollhaugen Lodge in August and absolutely loved it. They have a B&B, a Log Cabin, and a small motel on the property, as well as some parking area. B&B: We itinially looked at this property because of the log cabin, but it wasn't available the first night we were in Door County. There was... more
