The hotel might be a little outdated but that is what is neat about it. There are a lot of old items including furniture and are neat to see. They have excellent service and are always friendly. A nice size pool and hot tub. They are always clean. A game area in the basement with Ping pong, pool and video... More

As a professional travel company we visit hundreds of hotels a year mostly major chains. Those don't exist in Door County and we chose Rowley's as our home for three nights. Jewel, the owner, is hands on in the business day and night almost with the most pleasant smile always as does her staff. The resort is very clean and... More

Hotel room was clean with dated decor. "Resort's" common areas, pool, and restaurants were very dirty. Location of resort is very remote, far from other Door County activities, restaurants, shopping, etc. Some may find the location appealing but unless guests wish to drive many miles on country roads to other restaurants, guests are forced to eat in the rowley's restaurant... A few weeks ago I stayed at Rowleys bay resort. I went there to fish. I heard the fishing was good as well as the view. The problem I had was when I got here the battery on my trolling motor was dead. I flagged down one of the rowleys bay trucks. I talked to a grey haired guy there.... More

OK, some people will not agree that I gave this a 5 star rating, but I have stayed at 5 star properties that are far less enjoyable than Rowley's Bay Resort. The critics say this place is outdated, depends on what you are looking for. My friend and I stayed in 208. The room was rustic, not outdated, very comfortable... More

My husband and I were with a group tour and stayed at this resort for 5 days. We paid extra for a balcony room and were looking forward to sitting on the balcony, having coffee, and looking out at the bay. “View to a Thrill” is the catchphrase in the resort’s publications. When we arrived, our room wasn’t quite ready... More

The rooms are reasonably priced. The onsite food is very good and also reasonably priced. The activities are abundant. Boating, sightseeing, shopping, fishing, canoeing, you name it. The hotel has much history as does all of Door County. I would recommend a stay at this resort, and while you are there take in the fish boil!

My husband and I drove over from Minneapolis and then around Door County all day taking in sites and becoming familiar with the area. As the day was closing in fast we stumbled across Rowley's Bay Resort. Loved it! The week after Labor was quiet in Door County so we had no trouble getting a room. Friendly folks work here... More

The best part of the place was the food!! Buffet was awesome and bakery great. The rooms need a major overhaul and updating. Went with my husband.....great scenery but disappointing accommodations. Tennis courts were closed and overgrown with weeds. Pool was not inviting......

Paradise for guys looking for sun rise on the lake and relaxing vacation. Nice rooms with lake view. Excellent breakfast with good choice of items... Delicious bakery items on menu. Toasted cinnamon roll was excellent. Not to forget, fish boil event. Excellent story telling by Peter Rowley... Nice articulation of historical events and timelines.
