We stayed in a spacious 3 bedroom/2 bath suite on the 3rd floor and it was a great choice for us. Though the suite was clean, the bathrooms were showing clear signs of wear and tear. Other reviewers talked about the resort being outdated, and its true. The price was right for the suite we stayed in, though, and our... More

This place has to be visited to be appreciated! If you are looking for the Hilton, or the Ramada Inn, this place isn't for you. It's like a step-back in time to a place where families would return to year after year. Some of the furnishings are right out of the early '70s. They roll out the red carpet, make... More

We recently visited Rowley's Bay Resort for a long weekend. My wife, two teenage sons and I rented a cottage (cottage D). We'd visited Door County one time previously, staying at the Norrland Resort, and were expecting similar quality. We were very disappointed in the overall upkeep, maintenance and quality. The cottage, which is literally 50 feet from the water,... More

We stayed here August of 2014 and happy to return 2015. I like the bay side but have no desire to stay with the crowd and noise of that side. I'll take Rowleys Bay Resort everytime. Nowhere else can you get a lake front room with balcony for $160 in prime season without a busy road in front of you.... More

We have stayed 3 times over the years at Rowleys Bay. We come for the fishing. Rowleys Bay once catered to the fisherman and woman but I don't think so much anymore. They still have a fish cleaning area but not really fisher friendly. They have boat access with docks that you rent per day at the resort. The hotel... More

I have to ask...Why would anyone go to any other fish boil? Prior to the boil "Mr. Rowley" gathered diners around the kettle, and told stories of local folklore, and narrated the actual fish boil. After the boil-over, we went in to the all-you-can eat buffet which included pulled pork and fried chicken, in addition to the fish, boiled potatoes... More

Paid $165 plus tax for a bay view. The room is dated but clean. The room smelled like dead lady bugs so we opened the window. There is no coffee pot in room. You have to go to then on site bakery for free coffee. We wanted to sit on our deck in the mornings which is why we paid... More

We stayed at Rowley's Bay for a week over Memorial Day and we also got married at the resort during our stay! We had an absolutely wonderful time at the resort and our wedding was perfect. Jewel was great during the many months prior to our stay in helping us plan every detail and helped us with everything we needed... More

We visited this resort 11 years ago and fell in love with everything about it....while it has changed hands and needs to "remember the past", it still is a peaceful, and quiet compared to the Green Bay side of Door County, which is often overcrowded. The bakery is awesome, the food could stand a bit of tweaking, but I will... More

This is not a fancy resort, but it is super clean, friendly, and has a great restaurant. The rooms are dated, but our room in the "new" section with a balcony and view of the lake was very comfortable and quiet. The restaurant offers very nice buffets for all meals and also has a menu. The buffets offered very tasty... More
