me and my husband was there about five years ago with our dog. I took some garbage out to the dumpster, and there was a lil garden out near it and the 'husband owner' was in the garden. I walked back to my room, and turned to go into my room, the man had followed me to my room. creeeeeeeppppyyy.... More

Had a great stay. It's located just outside town. It's dated but well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. For prissy people who need room service or pampering, sorry there is no Trump Taj Mahal in Elkhorn!

I was scared after reading the reviews but had no other option when I was booking to see Jimmy Buffet. I'm from Canada and it was a 13 hour drive. When we arrived 5 of us 2 rooms I was pleasantly surprised the rooms were clean bathrooms were very clean. The owner was pleasant. The rooms have outdoor access and... More

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE!!! DISGUSTING!!!! My husband works out of town and we stayed here last week and booked a room for a full week. Paying $260. We stayed two nights and on the second night discovered bugs in the room and even in his bed! Some cockroach looking things! Ewww! We went to the owner to discuss the... More

The place is old....smells musty...is in need of serious updating....is mostly clean....the beds are OK....the A/C works (important when it's 103 outside)....they DO raise rates for different weekends (nearly DOUBLED the rate for the weekend that Dave Matthews was at Alpine Valley)....no in room coffee.... Hey, we needed a place to sleep and we could at least do that. I... More

My college aged friends and I stayed here for a weekend...It is an absolute dump! The rooms smelled, were dirty, and bug infested, we all woke up with bug bites. We had to go out an buy 2 box fans because the room was an intolerable temperature when we arrived. I would never stay here again.

Stayed there with my family on a weekend for two nights.. Quite possibly the worst place I have stayed at other than the 24.99 deal in Louisville, KY when I was in college. Smelly rooms, poor amenities, the shower was HORRIBLE! I was the first and last person to take a shower It would get warm for 30 seconds then... More

The beds have plastic mattress covers that crackled when you move. The T.V. had terrible reception. I don't see how it could be satellite. The pool was so cloudy you couldn't find something if you dropped, in even 3 ft of water. I assume it was the owner, was rude and hid behind the door to try to catch children... More

I reserved a room yesterday for two nights at $79.95 per night. The motel called me today to tell me that the Jimmy Buffett concert would be that weekend, so if I wanted to keep the room, I would have to pay $129.95 per night, which is an additional $50.00 per night! Is it my fault Jimmy Buffett is coming... More

This place was lovely, I stayed for 3 weeks during the September-October period and I couldn't get enough of it. Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful swimming pool, and my favorite part was the stunning outdoor picnic area for the kids. Just great and I can assure you I will be back
