Just returned from a cousin's reunion in Door County. Had seen this home on the internet, seemed to be just perfect for a group of 10-12. Most correspondence was handled through email, although I did call to question the reviews and what others had said. I was shocked with the owners and (their extended family), because they treated this lodge as if it was their own home. They were at the house everyday!! (mowing the lawn on two of those days), just snooping around. When I rent a place to stay, I appreciate that the owners are available,if needed, not that they are around everyday... more

This lodge is a log cabin with three different rental possibilities. (Upper, main and basement) The lodge itself and the grounds are very beautiful and loaded with amenities. Problem 1 - When it came time to settle-up, the rates quoted were not what we were being demanded to pay. The owners reluctantly after much debate reduced their demands to those... more
