We were looking for a place in the Egg Harbor area to spend two nights, and many places were sold out or had a three night minimum. At The Feathered Star we were able to get a great room for two nights and bring the dogs for only $10 per night extra, which was an unbelievable bargain. The room was... More

My wife and I were taking a mid-winter holiday and needed a place that would also take our two Brittany Spaniels. The Feathered Star B&B in Door County was just perfect. Sandy and her son Eli were the perfect hosts with clean and spacious rooms (each with an outside door for the pups). Each room has a small frig with... More

My friend and I stayed here for one night on an impromptu visit in July, and really enjoyed it. We stayed in a room with two twin beds, and it was roomy, the beds very comfortable, the bathroom very roomy, and the decor was really wonderful. The hostess was very sweet, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. We loved having... More

I spent the weekend at the Feathered Star and couldn't be more pleased. Finding suitable accommodations when you’re traveling with dogs is always a difficult task. Usually you’re stuck with the “room from hell”, but it was the exact opposite in this case. The inn is new and clean, and the room size was generous. It even had a door... More

Don't listen to the negative reviews, this place is great. I laughed at the not part of the BBB so I was worried. The BBB is useless...do some research. First off the host was very very nice. The room was great as well with out own outside access which was nice. Breakfast was fine but nothing that will fill you... More

We travel, whenever possible, with our two dogs. When planning our recent three-day weekend to Door County, my husband searched for a dog friendly hotel or B&B. He found two that caught his attention, and decided on the Feathered Star B&B. Our room, done in "Americana" decor featured it's own door to the outside, which means we didn't have to... More

Don't stay here! Avoid this place by all means! When I arrived, the hotel looked nice from the outside. The inside...was another story. The owner, Sandy, and her son, Eli were nice. If you stay with kids, Eli will bug your kid to play with him constantly. The rooms are so tiny! We had 2 adults, 1 child, and a... More

My wife and I, together with our Bijon Frise puppy, spent three pleasant nights in July at the Feathered Star. The owner, Sandy, says that she not only accepts pets but welcomes them and we found that to be the case. Both my wife and I, as well as our dog, found the atmosphere very welcoming and we immediately felt... More

We stayed at the Feathered Star this last weekend with our dogs and had a great time. The rooms were extremely clean and Sandra, the innkeeper, was a great hostess! The breakfasts were nice in the morning; fresh fruit and freshly baked breads or coffee cake. The dogs received treats at night as well. We loved that we could have... More
