The hallways of this hotel were like a sauna. After complaining they did nothing. One of the guests ripped off the cover over the air conditioner in the hall to get some relief. The beds were very small. They didn't provide many pillows. The breakfast was terrible. They ran out of coffee early, no one replenished. The staff was not... more

We looked at the pictures in the internet and read up on this hotel in their web site. Pictures are deceiving!! We were supposed to be in a queen suite. The room was smaller than our bathroom at home! We found dirty pillow cases on the beds. The carpet in the room was stained and ripping away from the door... more

The family and I love this place. It’s the only hotel in the city with poolside rooms. It works out perfectly for us. It has a kid’s pool and a newer whirlpool. The lounge is conveniently located next to the pool area. They have a restaurant that has definitely improved since our last stay. The Friday fish buffet is one... more

We stayed in the 'tower' our relatives stayed poolside (which was a BIG mistake). The tower was okay. Room was adequate. The floor was dirty around the beds and also the microwave/fridge area....like the vacuum couldn't get into those spaces, so they just weren't cleaned. The bathroom set up was strange. Tub & toilet in one very small room...I can't... more

The pricing was quite reasonable and the pool was large, but the staff were not very accomodating. The continental breakfast was meager compared to other hotels. (ran out of the little food they had) The breakfast staff commented that the restaurant had a buffet...suggesting guests purchase their own breakfast elsewhere. The front desk did not offer additional pillows for whatever... more

Well, it started off on a cold, miserable day in Wisconsin. I got postponed in Eau Claire and didn't feel like driving the remaining few hours back to my home West of the Twin Cities. It felt cold enough to freeze the roads, it was late, and I wanted to relax after a hard day and have a few drinks... more

I was in Eau Claire for the Sawdust City Days festival and wanted a hotel close to the park. The Plaza was perfect! Had a room in the tower and it was huge - the building is round, so the rooms "pie" out to a sliding glass door (no balcony though, just enough room to step out for a smoke).... more

We came across this hotel because everything in the city was filled. The staff was okay. The pool was like taking a bath. It was probably so warm from all the unsupervised children in it. Breakfast didn’t interest us. Rooms were out of date. We must not have had one of the newer rooms. Back outside entrance door didn’t lock... more

We travel to Wisconsin to see family a couple times a year and while in Eau Claire stay at The Plaza - We truely enjoy the time there. The pool is warm and the tables around the area make it a nice place to visit with family. We always get a room surronding the pool as it is very eaay... more

I stayed in this hotel for one night before I took my boards for nursing. It's older, and it's much to look at from the outside, but my room was very spacious and the staff were very friendly. The room didn't have a closte but an area to hang items. There were lots of mirrors and a larger-mini fidge in... more
