We stayed overnight here on a snowmobile trip (rode from Rhinelander, WI to Dunbar, stayed the night). The motel is just that - a motel. It is old, the bathroom in our room had pink tile and pink Formica counter top. The beds were comfortable, there was a tiny TV and a coffee maker. Since we were hardly in the... More

Was there on a Saturday around 8:30 AM with a group of 6 people, it took an 45 minutes to get our food, and was not very well prepared, some was cold. There was one other group of 5 in the place, so not too busy. Orders were mixed up and refills on coffee and drinks were slow. I know... More

Motel room in Dunbar, if you want the Holidai Inn, go to the city. People were extremely nice, had the BEST shrimp alfredo i have ever had, hubby said his burger was darn good also, dumpling soup gets an A+ too. We will be back.

Stayed here 2 nights the food was excellent, the people were so friendly and helpful.five stars there! Hotel room. Was clean, that was excellent, the rooms bathroom not so much. Problems with hot water, and had a peculiar smell. We kept the door closed. Otherwise an older place but very cool.....we will go back.

The Motel & Supper Club are back open. Randy & Lynne Sippel are the new owners. Great people originally from the Plymouth, WI area. Randy & Lynne have been business owners for 20+ years. Lynne has been in the Restaurant Bar trade for 20+ years. Please stop in and say Hi.

This is very sad. He was a nice man who ran a decent business. I hope someone buys this place as gets it operational again. It is a very convenient location to the ATV trails. The local gas station also left, bu the bar down the street is opening gas pumps.

Love their friday fish fry. Plenty of food for the cost. Friendly and attentive staff. We order the cod and perch. Very flavorful and always came nice and hot. Home made potato chips if you want, two types of coleslaw, beans and soft bread. Mix drinks were perfect. Never have left disappointed or still hungry.

Stopped in there on our snowmobiles today for lunch. We sat at the bar, just ordered one soda. I got the chicken dumpling soup which the waitress said was one of their specialties, the french dip and my husband got a burger w/ fries. The soup was ok but very watery. It was the worst french dip I've had in... More

Thought that we would give the place a try, seeing as it was under new ownership. My wife ordered the chicken, which has always been a specialty here since it was first called "The Chicken Shack" many a decade ago, and today it still is good as ever. She was quite satisfied and happy with her meal. I ordered for... More

Richard's is known in the area for their marinated, broasted chicken. It is always tender, juicy, crispy and downright YUMM. Service is a bit slow at times, even when they are not busy, but the food is always very good. We live in the area, so have never stayed at the motel, but we frequent their restaurant. I have to...
