We just spent 2 nights in the small White Pine room and agreed we probably would have given it 2 1/2 stars if Trip Advisor allowed. The room was clean enough but it was much smaller than an average hotel room. I do believe this room was one of the 2 smallest rooms but we were surprised at how small... More

We recently stayed 2 nights at this location. The room for the most part was clean (although the quilt/comforter had what appeared to be a blood stain on the underside). We stayed in the "Birkie" room. It had a king-size bed (which is close to needing to be replaced). The room had a small refrigerator, microwave, table and 2 chairs.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious "Camp Cable" room for two nights in August. The room was very clean and included a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Because it was a corner room, we had views in two different directions. There was even a friendly local dog who came in one day when we opened the door and hopped up onto... More

Very nice accomodations in the national forest of Wisconsin. You have to watch for the sign for the associated restaurant on the highway. Well maintained, clean, very much a lodge feeling. The decorum was very modern and tasteful. The whole setting was very nice. We had to arrive very late but they were helpful in working with us. we wish... More

If your looking for a quiet get away, this is a great place to stay. It is small having only I believe 7 guestrooms. Seems like it use to be a home turned into a B&B style hotel. The room was clean and good sized. It is fairly quiet almost all the time. The food is good and the Sunday... More

The hotel, no, not hotel, bed & breakfast, is beautiful, quaint, and backwoodsy. If it's just 2 people, and no problems arise in your stay at all, you'll probably have a good time. However, when problems do happen, watch out. Travelocity booked our stay wrong (we booked over the phone). They booked for 2 people, not 3. The place is... More

Sometimes in this business you just have to shake your head. Cable Nature Lodge is indeed designed as a quiet getaway for couples rather than families, and that is exactly how we advertise. In this case we were expecting two people to arrive because that's what their online reservation stated, and that's also what we confirmed via email in advance... More

My husband and I just returned from a delightful visit to the North Woods. We had previously owned property in Cable and were sure we would not find a place as special to stay. Were we wrong...the Cable Nature Lodge was clean, comfortable and had incredible views of nature out your window. It was quiet and supported our love of... More

Beautiful rooms! The restaurant downstairs is quite expensive! Nice dog hanging around. Not a bad price for the rooms. They recommended the Delta Diner which is an awesome place for breakfast! I would definitely stay here again!

Looking forward to a romantic getaway biking and dining we chose the Cable Nature Lodge based on these reviews. We arrived twenty minutes earlier than the 4p.m. check in and were treated EXTREMELY RUDELY. Rather than asking us to return at 4 the "Greeter" proceeded to tell us that "MOST GUESTS" arrive after the check in time and inferred that... More

And now, in the words of the legendary Paul Harvey, for "the rest of the story." It is true I chose not to respond to the complaint I received from these particular guests. I've learned in such situations that sometimes it's best to simply bite my tongue. But since they've decided to air their grievance in this public forum it's... More

I booked 2 days at the lodge through Travel Zoo, and am very happy with the stay! I stayed in the Namakagon room, which I loved. It was very rustic, comfortable, and had the amenities of a Keurig coffee maker, small fridge, and microwave. I ate at the Rookery Pub restaurant, and delicious meals! It was a perfect location for... More
