Although not our first time snowmobiling in the Boulder Junction area, it was our first time staying at Boulder Bear and was actually on a recommendation from a nearby restaurant owner. This will be our go-to place to stay from now on. Clean, comfortable, reasonable, very friendly owners. We were planning on being there again this past week but the... More

Stayed there the weekend of March 6th -8th 2015 for a snowmobile trip. Place was quiet and a clean place to stay. The owner was very polite and checked in on how our snowmobiling trip was for the day. Answered all our question we had on food in the area. Prices were reasonable and we had a Jaccuzi room also.... We had a great stay while we snowmobiled the area. The owner Dennis is really nice. We had a really clean room with plenty of space for all our garb. The trails are right out the hotel location. Easy walking distance to a few food places. Beds were so so. Wished they had a pool. Overall would definitely stay again.

We were on our way back and visiting my brother in Boulder Junction, who recommended this hotel as where his daughter stays when visiting. I was very impressed, clean, large rooms, lodge like entrance, and reasonable. After coming through Canada and paying close or over a $100 for basic rooms, this was reasonable and large. Since we had been traveling... More

If you are headed to Boulder Junction, WI, the Boulder Bear Motor Lodge is an ideal place to stay. It's like visiting friends up north! The owners are very friendly and let you keep your bikes in their garage at night. The location is perfect -- walking distance to all of Boulder Junctions restaurants and shops and literally across the... More

By the luck of the draw, there was a last minute cancellation and we were able to get in for the 4th of July weekend. Our room was very reasonably priced and it was very clean. Check in and check out was fast. The owners were very helpful when they noticed us looking at the local brochures. The motel is... More

This is the the kind of motor lodge that was once the hallmark of American road travel. It is clean, value-priced, and the innkeepers, Dennis and Cathy, are extremely warm and friendly. In fact, it has the vibe of a B&B, rather than a motel. The rooms are large and the continental breakfast even features pastries from one of the... More

After planning a trip to Boulder Junction for the past 3 years I finally made it there to see the Albino deer. The lodge felt like home from the minute my friend and I checked in and visited with June at the front desk. The rooms were very comfortable and as planned had a view of the deer feeder at... More

We love to stay here for the ease of getting on the snowmobile trail. The gas station is right across the street, so we can fuel up easily before we start each day. Several amazing trails are very convenient. Love the huge hot tub at the end of the day. Nice clean rooms with a mini- fridge food make it... More

Found this place clean and neat. But the beds were not comfortable and the continental breakfast was a bit sparse. However the coffee was good and we did see a lot of deer behind thirst hotel. We also missed having wifi.
