We stayed at Evergreen for the simple reason that we were visiting family in the area and, well, there aren't that many options, so take your pick. We now dearly long to return. Situated in the beautiful woods in the glorious land of Up North, Evergreen Lodge is a small, low key, rustic, but very comfortable, family-run cabin&breakfast perfect for... More

Set on beautiful Little Crooked Lake, you couldn't ask for more beautiful scenery. They serve a delicious breakfast every morning to start the day. The fishing on the lake was very good for everyone I was with. The cabins were a bit dated but I had no trouble sleeping soundly. Boulder Junction is the nearest town and they have everything... Wonderful that you enjoyed your vacation. That is why we are here doing this for the past 27 years. Evergreen Lodge is old school. It retains the beauty and peace of the north woods, More

I have been visiting Evergreen Lodge for the past 8 or so years and always feel like I am at home. The owner, Laurel, and her staff work incredibly hard to make sure you have a great time. Breakfast is included with your cabin and should not be missed! Great food in a rustic environment. I just hope I can... More

We come up to Evergreen Lodge yearly with about 16 other friends every Labor Day. It's something we look forward to each year. The cabins are rustic but comfortable. I love sitting on the screened in porch at night (after coming back from the campfire) and listen to the creatures of the night. One year we even saw the Northern... More

The setting and cabins on the lake were breathtaking, with eagles catching fish, loons, hummingbirds, frogs, turtles, and so much more. The night sky was lit with the Milky Way and an abundance of stars unknown in the city lights. Available to us were bicycles, kayaks, and a paddle boat. I can't say enough of the location. The cabin itself... More

Our family has stayed here several times over the past two years, and have thoroughly enjoyed Laurel's family hospitality. For anyone who has traveled to the Northwoods within the past 40-50 years, this resort is a wonderful reminder of how life "used to be." To the "wooden awards" on the dining tables (as a nostalgic reminder of my summer camp,... More

We were here in August of 2011, sorry it took me a while to write this. Yes, this is a rustic location & rustic cabin, but at least it has indoor plumbing! It is rustic & older decor - but it serves its function well. We wanted to be in a place where we could get away from everything &... More

I stayed here a few years ago and the cabin was a little run down. My sister just stayed there last weekend with her family and really enjoyed it. They had a 2 bedroom place that was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom that had a tub. The only downside was that the heater wasn't very strong. The owner... More

Stayed for the dog training fall dog training weekend had a great time everyone was so friendly. Cabins were clean and in working order furniture was very antique some in need of being replaced but you certainly got that rustic feel. Hot water and heat takes a while to heat up but once we got it going it was fine.... More
