We were on a motorcycle trip and just happened to find the town of Boscobel, WI. We needed to find a place to stay as it was getting dark. We were at a local pub having pizza and we happened to run into the manager of the hotel. She gave us a great deal, followed us to the hotel, let... More

I honestly wasn't expecting a whole lot based on the very reasonable price but I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed on the first floor and could tell right away that my room had been very recently updated. Fresh paint, new clean carpet, nice bedding, and everything else was in great condition. Super clean - a big plus. The only downside... More

I stayed at this hotel in July 2014. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and stayed at this hotel alone for one night. Upon reviewing my on-line statements I found that this hotel Over charged my credit card and when I called to ask why this happened the receptionist replied " It doesn't specify why." I promptly asked... More

I reserved our room several weeks in advance. On the day we were to stay, the hotel clerk called at 6pm and left me a very informal voicemail message to ask if we were still coming. I called back to let them know that, yes, we were on my way. To me, that was a little weird, but I suppose... More

We stayed on a Saturday night in June. Very nice person when we checked in. Room wasn't bad-, a few loose tiles near the sink and the room never got very cool, but it was very clean. Very comfortable bed, probably one of the best I've slept in at a hotel.. Hot tub was perfect temperature with really good jets,... More

This is a nice hotel for the Boscobel area. Check in was quick and easy. Rooms were clean. The bed was better than most hotel beds. The pool area was nice. The hot tub was a good temp, but lots of soap suds when the jets are on. On the down side, parking is a little tight if they are... More

I had a long, extended stay at the River Inn. The staff was very friendly and resolved any issues I had. The hotel has an inviting feeling. The indoor pool/jacuzzi was a major plus. I stayed in several rooms throughout a stay of several weeks, and I was impressed with all of them. Rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable.... More

I have stayed here twice but my husband stays here several times a year for his fly fishing get-aways. He just booked 8 rooms and a conference room for a fly fishing workshop that he'll be leading. It's his go-to place when in Boscobel. He has stayed in other hotels but has found them inconvenient and even slimy...which is saying... More

I will confirm that the place is very very clean and the bed has a good mattress. Beyond that, there is nothing good about it. Staff hangs out at the front door, smoking, so the air is choked with smoke when you go in and out. No fridge. Loud air conditioner. Tiny desk with WiFI that kept cutting out. And... More
