We stayed here one night on our way back home. We selected a great little site that was near the bathrooms but far enough not to be bothered by them. It was quiet and well maintained. The bathrooms were clean and never too busy. The site was $18/night; not sure why it was more than other WI state park tent... More

We stayed at one of the walk in electrical sites and they it was wonderful. We had a great stay. So many things to do. They have trails, swimming, hiking, biking. They keep the park well maintained. They have one main shower are at with running toilets otherwise they have pit toilets. If you use the walk on sites you... More

Yellowstone is set in the beautiful Driftless Area, and has lots to recommend it: seclusion, lots of wildlife, canoe rentals, and a convenient dairy bar (the latter two being privately run). Still, we found the staffing and maintenance of the park itself to be substandard. There was no one on site to help when we rolled in around 5 PM,... More

My friends and I go camping here every year, usually on Memorial Day Weekend but this year we went over the 4th of July. It’s a great campsite. We’ve stayed at 3 different kinds of sites here, and they’re all good. The sites are pretty close together but still far enough apart for some privacy from the other campers. And... More

The park ranger's were friendly and very informative and helpful. The sites were very well kept. The lake was beautiful and the trails were excellent - plenty of wildlife to enjoy. The bat show was great and the bats in the area keep the mosquito population to a minimum. We are RV campers and the roads in the camping area... More

Our campsite was good and flat so tent placements were not a problem.Since they have the bats, there were no mosquites which is always a plus. They do have flushable toilets/showers which i would say was better/cleaner than other camping locations before. The beach area is very small and crowded. You wont be able to say set up a volleyball... More

When you think of state parks in SW Wisconsin you immediately think of Governor Dodge. We actually prefer the smaller parks so we chose Yellowstone. We were not disappointed at all. Great sites with plenty of shade. Nice facilities and a wonderful lake. Tons of boats there fishing and the guys I talked to said the fishing was great. Clean... More

Spent 4 nights camping at Yellowstone Lake State Park last week with my pop-up camper, and every night we had bats swarming the camper and crawling into the crevice betwen the hard top and the canvas walls to roost. One bat got into our camper and scared the heck out of us at 2:00 am. Needless to say, this was... More

Spent a couple of nights here recently. We were blown away by the beauty of the area! The park has so much to offer: a gorgeous lake, wooded campsites, a nightly 'bat' show, eagles and other birds soaring and fishing in the lake, a clean lake, ice cream for the kiddos, clean flush toilets and showers trails,, boat rentals, on...
