Our family of 16 had a wonderful 4 days at Stout's Island Lodge. The tennis courts, canoes, lake, hiking paths, bonfires and restaurant were all used and enjoyed. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were even nicer than they looked on the website. We'll have lots of great memories.

first off a beautiful setting and property with tons of potential- but, after carefully selecting our room back in april and being verified again a few days before arrival were given a different "better" room because the current occupants decided to stay another day! Very limited menu- my wife almost finished her pulled pork nachos before realizing there was no... More

We stayed here for one night about a month ago. Had been wanting to try resort for awhile. You take a ferry shuttle across to island. The little house where you wait is very dirty on outside. Needs a coat of fresh paint and cleaning. The ferry also needs some attention. Once on the island, most everything just looks like... More

Dear lovesinns3, Thank you so much for your feedback. We can't tell you how much we appreciate hearing from our guests. It helps us improve and get better all the time! We definitely agree that the Shore House need some attention--after reading your review, this was reviewed with the staff as an area that needs more focus for cleaning and... More

Was a fun stay from the pontoon ride over to the pontoon ride back. The history here is very interesting and I thought since it was older that things would be old and sometimes they have an old smell but that was not the experience we had. We stayed in a Wilson room and it was very nice and big.... More

This island is lovely--with natural space and gardens -- and a wonderful resort staff. It is like going back in time, but with modern conveniences. You find yourself relaxing right away, especially when near the shore listening to the waves and the loons.

We attended our niece's wedding weekend on Stout's Island and were impressed with the setting, service, and food. A variety of different cabins and rooms are available at various prices. Our whole family had the Gardeners House which was cozy and comfortable. The boat crew and wait staff were so accommodating. As a Master Gardener I was really impressed with... More

I stayed two nights at this beautiful lodge. I would highly recommend it if you are going to just stay there! The only part is that I would not recommend staying here if you are attending a wedding at a different venue, because the ferry only runs every hour on the hour and only goes to 10 p.m. I found... Just book it. Everything was great staff acts like a family very friendly. The breakfast was a good continental breakfast. Did not realize that there were no TVs in any of the rooms but didn't even miss it. It just adds to the relaxation mode here. Loved this place and we had bad weather the two nights we were there... My adult daughters and I spent a couple days at Stout's Island Lodge to celebrate their July birthdays. We didn't get to fully access all the resort activities because of a day of rain, but the ones we did do were very enjoyable. We played bocce ball (a lot!), took the nature trail hike, kayaked and used the hydro bike.... More
