I stayed two nights at this beautiful lodge. I would highly recommend it if you are going to just stay there! The only part is that I would not recommend staying here if you are attending a wedding at a different venue, because the ferry only runs every hour on the hour and only goes to 10 p.m. I found... Just book it. Everything was great staff acts like a family very friendly. The breakfast was a good continental breakfast. Did not realize that there were no TVs in any of the rooms but didn't even miss it. It just adds to the relaxation mode here. Loved this place and we had bad weather the two nights we were there... My adult daughters and I spent a couple days at Stout's Island Lodge to celebrate their July birthdays. We didn't get to fully access all the resort activities because of a day of rain, but the ones we did do were very enjoyable. We played bocce ball (a lot!), took the nature trail hike, kayaked and used the hydro bike.... More

I have only left one review in my life so I hope this is helpful My Fiance and I needed an escape from wedding planning and house hunting. This island provided just that. We hung out all weekend on the island talking, laughing, exploring, and just enjoying one's company. From playing the lawn games, sitting by the fire with a... More

We spent two nights here, enjoying the peacefulness, friendliness, beauty, natural setting, and food service on this island. It was fun to explore the nature trail, rest and read by the lakeshore, and just generally slow down.

This was our first stay at Stout Island Lodge even though we only live 15 miles away. I feel that two reviews are necessary, so I'll review the accommodations in this review and the restaurant in another. From the minute we stepped on the pontoon boat for the trip over to the island, everything was perfect. The pontoon driver loaded... More

The kids had to unplug but had fun with croquet ,ping pong etc. The out building are more modern but I loved the lodge. Some equipment older but the gardens and rooms so nice. I would recommend . This is our second trip to Stout's Island, this one as the start of our honeymoon. We brought a number of family and friends with us this time and every single one of our guests agreed - Stout's is a magical and special place, charming, relaxing, totally unique, restful, fun, and unlike anywhere else we have ever visited. The staff... More

We loved everything.from the pontoon ride over to the pontoon ride back. We swam in the clean clear water, we ate in the cozy restaurant & patio outdoors. We enjoyed the bonfire. We walked the labyrinth , we kayaked. Don't miss the nature trail - water was very high this year so the trail is narrow, but magical! All the... More
