I've been camping at Wheeler's for quite a few years now, what keeps my family coming back is how quiet and clean the place is every time. The size of the camping sites is enormous, never camped at a place offering such well maintained large sites. To say it's clean and well maintained is an understatement. The Campground is very... We have camped in a number of different cities and states. Wheeler's is the only campground we return to year after year. The grounds are beautiful, so well maintained, and the facilities are clean. Mark and Lollie, the owners, are approachable, warm, and fun to connect with. Though we live in the Twin Cities, our friends live in South Bend,... More

I would never stay here again. Do not recommend this campground to any one. Marc [--] is the rudest person u will ever meet. Not freindly and very disrepectful. If u want to enjoy camping and just be left alone without someone always in your buisness stay somewhere else. Way to much money u can stay in the Dells for... More

As owners of a private campground, Marc and Ifeel it is our responsibility to provide a pleasant, clean and peaceful camping environment for all of our guests. It is unfortunate that these campers chose to run a chainsaw at their site, have unregistered visitors after bar time, and have loud drunken arguments past our quiet hours. When we have complaints... The people who run the campsite were extremely rude to me! Both on the phone and in person, the staff at the campground did not treat me with respect. They actually called me a rude name! I would recommend looking into staying at a state park. The prices were also much higher than I would have liked! I would never... More

Had been to Wheelers Campground twice. First time we only spent 1 nite and were off to Devils Lake for most of the weekend. The second time we spent 3 nites at Wheelers and really saw what this guy is about. On nite 1 he berated the campers across the way for singing too loud at dinner time (6pm). The... More

The campground itself was great! My sister and our husbands all came to stay for the night because the state park was full. We all really liked the choices of camping spots and a lot of them were more private. The bathrooms were clean too. The only two downsides were the price...$60 for ONE NIGHT for the 4 of us!... We loved our stay at Wheeler's Campground. It is very clean, well-kept and quiet. The grounds are very well maintained and the site is just beautiful. The tent sites are huge, which we loved - plenty of room for our large tent. The shower house is impeccable - clean, lots of hot water and plenty of room. We bought a... More

Wheelers was the perfect place for us to spend some quality away time. Mark and Lollie run, a very well kept campground. We were at Devils lake all day hiking and the last thing we wanted when we returned was a party atmosphere. Hey - if you want to party all night around the campfire -- this is not the... More

Wife and i stayed for a night while visiting devils lake. Grounds were clean and well kept. Bathrooms and showers were spic-n-span. Its an excellent clean campground. Was very quite as well. Would go back again when in the area.

Campground is a family owned operation, and they obviously take pride in their facility. I found the owner to be informative and very polite. There is only one bathroom/shower building that I saw, but it was quite clean. 4-5 toilets, plus 4-5 showers in the men's half. There is no soap, towels, or hand dryers so bring your own. I... More
