We stayed at the Thunderbird Motor Inn for two nights this past July. It is a very basic motel with few amenities. The room did have a microwave and refrigerator. The room appeared clean and the bed pretty comfortable. Overall it was a place to sleep nothing more. Small things, like new towels, could increase our overall impression of this... More

... an impromptu overnight led us back to Baraboo and this quaint little motel. It looks like a shady lady -- but let me tell you, the updated room and fast, quality check in was WONDERFUL. [We'd spend two nights in a 'chain' hotel in Dubuque, IA and we NOT satisfied at all!!] The room was clean, the beds comfortable.... More

So you can't expect much at this price but the motel is perfect for a quick, safe, clean place to spend the night. The owners obviously put a lot of pride and care into keeping it clean and well maintained. Of course, it is dated with thin towels and polyester bed covers but that is to be expected. Unfortunately the... More

Spent Christmas Eve at the Motel will visiting family for the Holiday. Chose the hotel based on price and being pet friendly ($10 extra per nite). While the hotel is clean, it needs updating...small TV was from the 80's before the invention of a flat screen, beds were extremely hard and the air conditioning/heater has a mind of its own.... This was a good location for seeing the area. Easy drive to Spring Green and The Dells. The price was great and so I didn't expect a four star hotel. We weren't expecting to spend a lot of time in the motel so small inconveniences (no hair dryer) did not affect our stay.

Lower prices than hotels/motels on the west side of town but no frills and I had issues with the rooms like uncomfortable beds (mattresses lined with plastic). If you want ice, you have to go to the office, if you want clean towels, forget it (there were wash cloths and towels that were blackened and brown (motorcycle cleaning/blood?). If you... More

Stars three nights while visiting family. Clean, checked in early, and much quieter than I expected. We have stayed at the chain hotels down the street and I will be coming back to the Thunderbird Especially since it is close to $50 per night cheaper for essentially the same thing.

We stayed here for a trip to the Dells and Devil's Lake State Park. It's about a twenty minute drive to the Dells, which was close enough for our plans. It was very cheap, very clean, reasonably spacious, and the room had a fridge and a microwave. The wireless internet worked great the first day, not at all the second... More

Inexpensive - good restaurant right next door and free shuttle to Ho Chunk casino. What else does one need ? Enjoyed our one night stop in Baraboo on the way to Milwaukee. Very convenient to I-94. Nice folks working there as well

Upon check in the man at the front desk let me check out the room to make sure I liked it. I did. It was very clean, had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and alarm clock. The room was quite roomy and I got around it no problem and there was plenty of room to put our stuff. Each day they... More
