We were a group of four girlfriends who shared the 4 bedroom, 3 bath Orchard House across the street from the Main Inn. The house suited our needs perfectly. The only caveat is that breakfast and the afternoon snacks and drinks are not available to occupiers of the Orchard House. To this day I don't quite understand it! There is... More

So happy this group enjoyed the house. Our state licensing allows us to serve food only to the guests staying at the inn. The Orchard House, while we manage the rental of it, is not part of the inn for licensing purposes. We do inform Orchard House guests of this caveat and publish it as part of the information on... My husband & I have stayed at the Blacksmith twice now and plan to stay again for any future Door County visits. It's such a beautiful and peaceful place! It's perfect for a romantic getaway! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and we've really enjoyed the breakfasts. We can't wait to go back!

This is a charming, rustic, and yet very comfortable inn. We arrived to find popcorn, lemonade and cherry cookies available for our afternoon snack. in the cozy common area. Our room was beautiful with woven blankets and quilt on a comfortable bed, and a bathroom with wood paneling. With a balcony overlooking the lake and a Jacuzzi in our room... More

Perfect honeymoon spot!!!! This was our first Bed and Breakfast spot and the bar has been set very high for all others. Service was friendly, responsive but not overbearing. They have everything figured out, for all weather and seasons: hammock on the deck, fireplace, DVD collection by the fireplace, whirlpool, TV/DVD combo that swivels to watch from the bed or... More

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon stay at the Blacksmith Inn, and I cannot tell you how many times we have joked about jumping back in the car to go back immediately! We've never stayed at a B&B and were hesitant about what it would be like, but it exceeded our expectations and it truly was the... More

My husband and I just got back from our stay at the Blacksmith Inn. Normally we stay over on the other side of the peninsula but decide to try the Baileys Harbor side this time. I'm glad we did. I cant say enough wonderful things about our visit. We will definitely be back to the Blacksmith Inn!!

The Blacksmith Inn is a model of exceptional service and quality. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and shown the many amenities, including 24/7 beverage service and cookies. Kayaks and paddle boards are complementary and in excellent condition. And what a place to use them! A short boardwalk away is Lake Michigan and a protected harbor. The room was... More

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Blacksmith Inn on the Shore—we were sad to have only spent one night at the Inn. The inn itself is charming and located in the quiet town of Baileys Harbor. Located directly on the water, but set back behind scenic wetlands, each room in the Zahn house overlooked the water... More

Just got back from a quick trip to Door County. We were only able to stay one night, so we we arrived at 10:00 am the day of our stay to make the most of it. After parking, we went into the office to let the owner know we were there and riding our bikes for the day. Bryan was... More
