Perfect honeymoon spot!!!! This was our first Bed and Breakfast spot and the bar has been set very high for all others. Service was friendly, responsive but not overbearing. They have everything figured out, for all weather and seasons: hammock on the deck, fireplace, DVD collection by the fireplace, whirlpool, TV/DVD combo that swivels to watch from the bed or... More

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon stay at the Blacksmith Inn, and I cannot tell you how many times we have joked about jumping back in the car to go back immediately! We've never stayed at a B&B and were hesitant about what it would be like, but it exceeded our expectations and it truly was the... More

My husband and I just got back from our stay at the Blacksmith Inn. Normally we stay over on the other side of the peninsula but decide to try the Baileys Harbor side this time. I'm glad we did. I cant say enough wonderful things about our visit. We will definitely be back to the Blacksmith Inn!!

The Blacksmith Inn is a model of exceptional service and quality. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and shown the many amenities, including 24/7 beverage service and cookies. Kayaks and paddle boards are complementary and in excellent condition. And what a place to use them! A short boardwalk away is Lake Michigan and a protected harbor. The room was... More

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Blacksmith Inn on the Shore—we were sad to have only spent one night at the Inn. The inn itself is charming and located in the quiet town of Baileys Harbor. Located directly on the water, but set back behind scenic wetlands, each room in the Zahn house overlooked the water... More

Just got back from a quick trip to Door County. We were only able to stay one night, so we we arrived at 10:00 am the day of our stay to make the most of it. After parking, we went into the office to let the owner know we were there and riding our bikes for the day. Bryan was... More

We stayed here for one night in Room #8, which is on the first floor of the Harbor House building, the red one. It was wonderful! There are 2 buildings. The original white one is called the Zahn house and is a restored original building. The red building is called the Harbor House and was built fairly recently by the... More

My wife and I were very pleased with this Inn. We especially liked the the 2-person hammock on the balcony which became the perfect reading/napping spot on a rainy afternoon. We also liked: homemade muffins, free kayaks, free bikes, large and current DVD selection for use, and the walk-out pier in the marsh. We plan to return next year.

My wife and I decided to escape Chicago, and spend a long weekend in Door County. Now most of the hustle and bustle on the peninsula is along Highway 42 on the Green Bay side. But if you are looking for some peace and quiet, but not too far from the action, take Highway 57 to what is known as... More
