We recently spent a week at this resort. Door county is a beautiful area...extremely busy in the summer. This was our second time visiting in winter. It is so peaceful and quiet. We had an amazing time. The resort is perfect. They have rental equipment including cross country skis, snow shoes, ice skates and sleds. We skied on their trails... More

My husband, myself, our 7 year old daughter and my parents stayed here at the end of January. When I first walked into the unit, particularly the downstairs bedroom, I could tell they were a little older. However, they are kept IMMACULATE. I can deal with an old bed frame when I can tell they do a great job taking... More

We just spent three days with our friends at The Rushes on Kangaroo Lake. The two-family condos which are nicely spaced in a wooded area had been redecorated since we were there years ago and were very homelike. We had a unit with a master bedroom upstairs and a bedroom with twin beds downstairs. Each unit had its own bathroom.... More

Definitely a great place for families or groups. There is 2 units per building each with a one car garage. Two levels, the upper has either one king bed or some have 2 bedrooms on the upper floor, make sure you ask. The one bedroom upstairs is HUGE w/ TV, stereo, balcony. The bathroom is big also. Now, the bath... More

We stayed at The Rushes for a week at the end of June/beginning of July. The property is beautiful, the rooms were very nice, there was a lot to do both on the resort and off (it is prime tourist season in DC), and we were overall very happy. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is... More

The Rushes is a nice complex each condo has 2 stories and quite a bit of woods nearby to give you that outdoor feeling. Bikes are free to rent and there are quite a bit of walking trails. The pool is indoor and decent size. Locker rooms are decent but small. A game room is near the pools and plenty... More

We have been coming to the Rushes for 25 years and find it a wonderful getaway. The units are 2 bedroom and many of them are right on Kangaroo Lake. They have full kitchens, fireplace and a supply of firewood. You are 1 hour away from Green Bay, but you can feel you are very far away. Summers can be... More

This resort has so many winter options - cross country skiing, snowshoe, walks in the nature preserve, indoor pool/whirlpool, ice cream social, crafts, etc. In addition to this, the condos are very comfortable with many conveniences including washer/dryer, wood burning fireplace with wood included, beautiful views of Kangaroo Lake and nature outside your door. A wonderful getaway week!

We did a time share trade here, and we were not dissapointed at all. The property is very conveniently located in Door county, very well maintained and spacious. It is on the small side, but had plenty to do even though we were in Door County "off season". A nice park nearby for hiking, tenis and shuffleboard, close to horseback... More
