Our family of 4 decided the weather was going to be nice, and decided on Gordon Lodge for a short getaway to Door County-we vacation there for a few days every summer for the last 8 years, so we have been to quite a few different accommodations over the years. The room was on the smaller side (we knew this... More

We stayed several nights on the quiet side of the Door Peninsula, at a suite in the Trailhead building. It was just the right size with a kitchen, where we cooked dinner every night. (I have a feeling we were the only family that did so, as there were plenty of BMW's and other luxury cars, reflecting a more monied... More

This home-style resort reminded us of the lodge in the movie-- quaint, lake-front and gentile simplicity. Daily breakast was plentiful and lots of fresh fruit with hot choices as well. Lunch by the dock our first day was a high-light. We played ping pong, rode bikes through the wooded trails, tennis and kayaked. It was fabulous! There's a hot tub... More

Very clear signage points you to this lovely resort. Winding road leads to 1960's rambling ranch main house, and all other parts of the resort. Lovingly restored, but still the charm remains. Hats off to the decorator! Lobby features a round firepit with the half moon sofa to boot. Great views of the beach and Lake Michigan are available from... More

Nice play to stay and it was relaxing. Service from the staff was excellent. We stayed in both the lodge and a cabin. The rooms in the lodge were a little small for a family. We brought along a blow up mattress for my daughter. The cabins were really nice. They have kayaks and a paddle boat for people to... More

Delightful, lovely & a definite one week stay next year. Loved it! I felt we were from a 1950's postcard or Rockwell painting. Food was great (especially the pizza) staff friendly, and the new house we rented - exquisite! Only request, New bikes for next year please - the trails are wonderful.
