When my husband and I stayed at Asa Cline for two nights we found a "jewel"! We stayed in Room 2 and our friends stayed in Room 1. These rooms shared an upstairs porch where we drank their delicious coffee in the morning and our wine in the evening. Our room was very clean and comfortable as was the rest... More

The Asa Cline B&B is a wonderful place to stay for a night or whatever time you have available. The B&B normally closes in November, however, during Veteran's Day weekend they take the opportunity to celebrate and honor those that serve. Although we only stayed one night, the home, hospitality, food and environment are wonderful. John and Merrie are wonderful... More

We love B & B's and we do try to have mini vacations at various ones when we travel. Asa Cline is one of the nicest ones we have ever been too. John and Merrie are excellent hosts in terms of hospitality, food and resources. The home has been beautiful restored and modernized with excellent taste. The grounds are lovely... More

First, if you stay here, and I recommend that you do, don't use Maps GPS to get there. It doesn't work. In fact my Verizon cell phone would not work in this area so make sure you know where you are going before you arrive. Second, the sign is partially hidden from the road. That over with, once you are... More

John and Merrie have one of the most relaxing and peaceful B&B's we have ever stayed in. They are an interesting and well-traveled couple living in a beautiful country setting, we were so lucky to share a few days stay with them. Convenient (30 min) to Winchester Va on good highways but far enough to escape the rush and congestion... More

The website does not do justice to this place. The place is so peaceful and beautiful. The owner's are very nice people and now how to take care of their guests. The house was started in the 1700's and the new addition added in the 1860's. The original log construction can be seen in places. If you want a place... More

Enjoyed a quiet, if rainy, couple of days here with the family. Husband was working in the area or we would have never had a chance to visit, this place is so far out there! No cell service. No Internet. The room was huge! Queen bed for hubby and I and 2 roll outs for the girls. All very comfortable!... More

Highly recommend the Asa Cline House- it is a very lovingly restored house with beautiful grounds and personable hosts. Three of us stayed for 2 nights and can't wait to return. The room we had was very large and quiet with three beds, so we had plenty of room. It was a much better option than a hotel for us,... More

Asa Cline House is in a lovely rural setting with gorgeous scenery all around it. My regret is that I had only one night to visit as I was traveling on business. The grounds around the house are peaceful, spacious, and lovely with lawns, forest, and ponds. The comfort of the rooms and the common area were soooo welcome after... More

The hosts are the most congenial couple that we have met at any B&B. We were warmly welcomed and had several fascinating conversations with Merrie and John during our stay. They have restored and upgraded the 200+ year old farm and created a comforting living space. The breakfasts are varied and delicious and I got the recipe for "mapleized apples."... More
