Dirty. Noisy. Old. The front desk area is junked up. If this was in a bigger city, I'd have felt unsafe. I made a reservation through Priceline, but they didn't charge me for it, I had to pay the inn-keeper directly. This wasn't a real problem, after I spent twenty minutes on the phone figuring it out, but it was... More

Village Inn is not the Greenbrier, but it doesn't pretend to be. Instead, it is a motel with clean updated rooms, and a friendly staff. And, at $60 per night, it's also a great bargain, located close to several attractions. I had a great experience at Village Inn. I arrived for my stay in the midst of an unexpected snow... More

I was travelling from my home in Beckley, WV back to my job in Suffolk Virginia when I got caught by surprise in a heavy snow storm near the state line at night. I left the Interstate and made my way into the center of historic White Sulfur Springs, WV to the Village Inn, a vintage motor court type motel.... More

The Village is an older hotel that has undergone a lot of improvements. The new owners have made loads of improvements, making this the best value in the White Sulphur Springs area. Staff are great folks!

The people are sweet. The bed had a giant dip in it, the curtains looked like they were smothered in soot, and it's not the most beautiful place in the world. It is cheap though, so you can't expect much.

This motel has a sweet innkeeper and fine location. Unfortunately, there's more wrong than right with this lodging choice. Our end-unit room was separated from the road by a small hedge, and the curtains could not provide full cover for the windows. The phone was inoperable, as well as one of the bathtub shower knobs. Efforts to control the water... More

This is a very basic, no frills motel. We chose it because they accepted pets and we were traveling with our yellow lab. Plenty of toiletries, clean towels and a coffeemaker were provided, but tea bags would have been appreciated along with the coffee supplies. My 15-year-old appreciated the TV. There was also a dorm-size refrigerator that froze our milk... More

We stayed here one night in June as we were touring the nearby Greenbrier Hotel bunker the next morning. I had read the reviews about how this was a no-fringe hotel. This is true. The hotel was just fine for our needs. We paid $55 for a double size bed. The room was clean, well-stocked with toiletries, and had a... More

We recently stayed for three nights and were pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the clean towels we received each day. The central location is quite good. However, there was no internet or microwave or hair dryer. The largest problem that I had with the room was the dirt. There was dirt and dust all over. Our room... More

You never know what you'll find when you see a "mom and pop" type hotel. We have actually started seeking out these types of accommodations when we travel. First, they're usually less expensive. Second, they're larger rooms and nice. This one fits those descriptions. We were put on the first floor, which made it nice carrying in luggage. Room wasn't... More
