What an absolutely wonderful time we had. There were four couples in our group. Three couples stayed in rooms in the main house while my wife and I stayed in the cabin. The cabin was perfect for us all to get together and uncork a couple bottles of good wine and have stories to exchange about our trip to wild... More

My husband and I rented the cabin for 2 nights. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The cabin is so cute and beautifully furnished with period furniture and accessories. The beds are covered with magnificent quilts made by the owner. She is very talented. She doesn't forget anything. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and a variety of teas... More

Our family stayed in this charming b&b for a night on our way to the greenbrier and wish we had planned to stay longer. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and Monica and Carl were wonderful hosts. They bring the southern charm to the b&b that many remember from the old days of the greenbrier -- you get... We just got back from spending 5 nights at the James Wylie House. Monica, the owner could not have been more gracious. Breakfast was a gourmet experience every morning. Pop's (her dad) was a joy to talk to. What a wonderful experience. 1 minute down the road from the Greenbriar and a close walk to restaurants in town. Do yourself... More

The perfect balance of rustic charm, cleanliness, value, good food and hospitality...loved curling up in a chair on the front porch with a book. Convenient to shops and The Greenbriar...easy on/off I-64. Great stopping point to east shore beaches.

Stayed at this B&B with my mother, sister, and niece. Great for a girls vacation! The log cabin was great. Hosts were friendly and helpful with local attractions. Breakfast was fantastic. Definitely skip the garish and expensive Greenbriar - Stay at the James Wylie House.

This was our 1st experience with a B&B. While the home is very old, the facility is well maintained and very comfortable. We were greeted with a handshake and a smile. Breakfast was fantastic - egg casserole, baked grits, peach cobbler, fresh fruit! The host couldn't have been more accomodating. They provided recommendations for area restaruants in Lewisburg that were... More

Cozy and rustic. We wanted to experience the atmosphere of an old cabin and this is exactly that. We stayed for three days in their cabin and the minute we stepped in we felt like going back in time. Well, of course with all conveniences of modern living. Downstairs has sofa, fireplace, TV, kitchen corner with fridge and dining table,... More

This is a wonderfully kept and managed bed & breakfast in a lovely section of West Virginia. Three of us spent two nights and found the visit a totally positive experience. Monica, the proprietor, has extensive knowledge of the region, its restaurants and attractions. The breakfasts were expansive and beautifully prepared and presented. The James Wylie house is a treat.

We stayed in front room on second floor and thoroughly enjoyed innkeeper Monica and her dad Carl. The front porch, bedrooms and common areas are quite charming and reflected the historic landmark character of this home. We stayed 3 days and each breakfast was better than the next. There was plenty to eat and everything was delicious. Monica and Carl... More
