Driving into this resort the hotel view is outstanding. A HUGE white hotel with beautiful landscaping. Long line for check-in. We stayed in a small 3 family cabin. The decorating in the hotel and restaurants and cabins is big flower prints from the 90's. The cabins don't have DVD players. To use one the cost is $20.00. The dvd was... More

Stayed for a couple of days. Rooms were large, clean, with comfortable beds and nicely decorated. Very nice resort, bunker tour is a must do. Service at restaurants and food quality was a cut above. Housekeeping was a mixed bag with spotty service with bare bones service one night and the next with turn down, ice bucket filled and towels... More

Have heard and read so much about this resort and finally got a chance to spend a long weekend there for a family event. This is a truly grand resort hotel, with an imposing facade, expansive and impeccably maintained grounds. The famous Dorothy Draper interior design is impressive with the abundance of oversized bold floral patterns and rich colors. One... More

This past week-end, my two traveling buddies and myself spent Saturday and Saturday night here, checking out on Sunday morning, would have stayed longer but had to get back home for Father's Day. This was my first trip to the Greenbrier but my friends are frequent visitors. You can't help but fall in love with this place. The hospitality is... More

This was our second trip to The Greenbrier; the first visit was when my wife and I had our wedding reception here in 1998. This time we brought along our 3 kids to help celebrate our 15th anniversary. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I had very fond memories of the place, but a lot can change in 15... More

For old world elegance and splendor, with modern comforts, you cannot beat the Greenbrier. It is wonderful to be to be treated like royalty by all staff. The SPA is fantastic. The only improvement I would suggest is a long bike trail. I would recommend to all.

We arrived at the fabled Greenbrier Resort with the expectation of a glorious, historic and relaxing vacation, unfortunately this is not what we experienced. Perhaps it was a luxurious resort at one time, however it now lacks any sophistication....the staff at the front desk and the concierge desk were enormously inefficient and no one is crossed-trained which requires numerous calls... Yes, it's expensive. But it is incredible! Having visited The Greenbrier many times many years ago and also visiting it before Mr Justice took it over, I can say The Greenbrier is back!! This was our second visit in the past two years and we will return again. The rooms, staff, grounds, food, casino, and overall ambience are magnificent. Hats... More

This hotel is a splurge, and people come to celebrate something, or for a meeting. No matter what plan you choose, it's about $600 up for a couple per day (including food but not golf). The good news is that , at least in my opinion, it is still worth it. I had not visited for over 15 years, and... More

Stopped by this place on a roadtrip and thought it was GORGEOUS! Walked around the main building and took a ton of pictures. Stopped at the concierge desk and he told us to eat at the Drapers and to try the ice cream as they are known for it. Lunch there was very good. Loved the atmosphere. Everything is overpriced,...
