If you love deep pink and forest green together everywhere -- and I do mean everywhere -- you'll adore this place. If not . . . well then, you won't. And let's not forget the enormous deep red flowers that consume large swaths of the wallpaper. Even Laura Ashley would be begging to "tone it down" a bit. Maybe a... More

The new ownership has almost transformed the grand old hotel back to it's former self. Missing are the Dining plans of past. The main dining room served an outstanding meal with excellent service . With the new casino to go along with a world class spa, shooting, off roading and a host of other outside and inside activities, this a... More

We just got back from a long weekend at the Greenbrier. What a place! Since this was our first visit (and given the price our only one for a while) we upgraded to the Windsor Club wing for approximately $200 more a night. More on that in a moment. Overall, the Greenbrier is nearly perfect. The grounds are immaculate, the... More

We purchased/used the Living Social deal: $430 for two nights Sun-Thurs stay in intermediate room The look: This resort was so pretty pulling up to. The grounds are very kept up and beautiful outside. The inside is very old fashioned with floral wallpaper and carpeting. Yes, it is "out of date" but that's what makes this place so classic. If... We have been coming to the Greenbrier since the 1970s....it's exactly the same, yet it's always changing. It's not cheap, but it is well worth the cost. World class golf, fine dining, great accommodations and sincere Southern hospitality. An American classic! Take the bunker tour, take a hike, play a round of golf, bump into Tom Watson...the Greenbrier has it all.

Drapers has excellent food, desserts, drinks and decor. Wait staff is anazing and customer service oriented, just as you come to expect while at the resort. It's an excellent Greenbrier classic, everyone should experience!!!! Try the peach soup and fried green tomato sandwich...mmm

My son and I spent 4 days/3 nights at The Greenbrier. It took a day to get our bearings as it is a bit complicated to get around inside the hotel. Make sure you take The Bunker Tour. Well worth the 1-1/2 hours. My son golfed and said it was the highlight of the trip. I enjoyed a massage at... More

I just returned from The Greenbrier. First off, I am a West Vriginian and want to see the property flourish as it is beneficial to the State as a whole. That said, I am sad to report that it appears the best days of The Greenbrier are behind her. I was with a party of 3 families. Between the 3... More

Yes, the setting is spectacular, the bunker is cool, and the food was wonderful. BUT - there are so many more places to go for vacation when you are spending the kind of money it takes to stay at the Greenbrier. I know that Dorothy Draper was an important designer in the 40's, who wasn't afraid of color. Honestly -... More
