Just returned from the Greenbrier for the casino opening and family reunion. This was my 10th trip to the Greenbrier and first under new owner Jim Justice. We usually stay in the South Carolina cottages but were wait listed so rented a house and had a room. In short the staff has changed gone are many of the proud locals... More

We spent three days at the Greenbrier and were very impressed with the setting and the wonderful service from every staff member we met. While the room rate was reasonable for a high end resort, food and beverage costs were very high - $20 for a glass of "house" chardonnay in the casino, for example. The two golf courses I... More

We stayed at the Greenbrier during their spring into action plan. What a great deal! The room was very spacious and the walk in closet perfect. It was so nice to go to the infinity pool and sit and watch the golfers come up to the 18th hole. The grounds are beautiful. During our early morning walks we watched the... More

Just returned from our first trip to the Greenbriar Resort. It was as beautiful as advertised, and as expensive as expected. What was not expected was the poor service and mediocre food at the 44 West restaurant. Our waiter got us drinks and then forgot us for over 30 minutes. The steak was overcooked and was served on a plate... More

I was fortunate to stay a week at the Greenbrier and my time there was very enchanting. The hotel itself is so immense you could get lost in it. We played some golf while we were there which is a bit expensive, but was well worth it. We also had a blast fishing while we were there on the many... More

OK. Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Greenbrier. I cannot believe some of the lousy reviews I see here. Please be assured that the Greenbrier is all that and more! The hotel is jaw-dropping, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel at "home". I do not know what other people are expecting... More

The Greenbrier still needs to focus on good customer service. A 5 day stay revealed inferior service at the Pool and Pool Restaurant (slow seating/order taking, and erroneous charges), the Fitness/Tennis Center (erroneous charges) and at all the restaurants. The food is basically the same at all three of the sit down restaurants with a few differences at the high... More

The Greenbrier is an absolutely fantastic resort. The hotel is huge with stunning public spaces, well manicured grounds and lots of history. Everything is top notch and the service is very professional. We had so much fun playing golf and just walking the grounds. We also found the bunker tour to be fascinating and well worth the time and money.... More

This is certainly one of the most amazing resorts on earth. Every time we visit, we are blown away The activity list is incredible, the surroundings are beautiful and the service is great. We have noticed a slight slip in service quality since the resort changed management several years ago. My son's dinner and my drink were free the first... More
