Ive been staying at various Snowshoe properties for 20 years and Soaring Eagle was by far the most luxurious and best staffed Ive seen. Make sure to take advantage of the wonderful Hearth room for evening cocktails with Jimmy the excellent bartender. Embers restaurant is far and away the best restaurant on the mountain and the hot tubs, locker room... More

We have stayed at Soaring Eagle for the past 3 ski seasons, a few times each year since they opened. Since then the conceirge has been replaced with a very friendly and helpful woman. Great rooms, various sizes for whatever your lodging needs may be. You can book from the owners directly on vrbo or other such website- our preference... More

Fantastic amenities and extremely clean and new. Complimentary lockers for guests and a small market for the basics. Discounted equipment rental to guests. Outdoor hot tubs were not packed with people. Fitness center and sauna were well maintained and orderly. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Heated parking under the lodge was a nice touch. The hearth room was comfortable... More

We stayed with friends at their condo (#409) which they rent out too. We were amaxed from the moment we walked in. The kitchen is large, stainless steel and grainte - - everything you need. The bathroom was huge. We slept on the pullout, which was very comfortable for a pullout. Balcony was great too - with a nice view.... More

Platinum location so I thought it would be the best. The Hearth was great for the parents to hang out and have a cocktail. Embers resturant was great as well. The room had a ways to go. No water pressure in the shower, the DVD player in the room was broken, there was popcorn in the pull-out sofa when the... More

This is a fairly new (I believe it's 2 years old) condo/hotel in a small ski resort in the West Virginia. The building and rooms are nice and new, staff are courteous, have a very nice lobby with fireplace and tv. I believe the management company is Intrawest and I have stay at many Intrawest manage ski resorts on the... More

We were looking for a nice place to stay - and found it with Soaring Eagle. My main concern is that this is the only "platinum" rated place to stay at Snowshoe - but does not really approach that level for several reasons listed here. 1. Rooms are big but dark...seems like the lamps are in all the wrong places... More

We decided on Snowshoe for our first ever, romantic ski weekend together. It was about a 5hr drive from DC, but well worth it. Check-in went smoothly, despite the very chilly temperatures and then we were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and decor of our room. We stayed in a studio in the Soaring Eagle Lodge that was brand... More

We stayed at the Soaring Eagle Lodge at Snowshoe Resort in WV Jan 26th-29th and absolutely LOVED IT! We have stayed at a lot of places at Snowshoe (i.e. West Ridge Homes, Snowcrest, Mountain Lodge and Highland House). If you have the extra money Soaring Eagle is well worth it. Nice and clean, ski in ski out, with everything you... More

We have stayed at three places at Snowshoe--Camp 4, Alleghany Springs and Soaring Eagle. We have found our favorite at Soaring Eagle Lodge. It's a skiers paradise! Located right at the top of a high-speed quad, with its own rental shop, mini-market with nicely prepared things, and gourmet restaurant, this is the place if you like a little luxury and... More
