Back from a two night stay at Snowshoe Resort in WV. Stayed in Rimfire, room 224, a junior studio. Murphy bed/table combo (easy to take down/return to upright), sleeper sofa, tv w/cable, microwave, two burner stove top, under counter fridge, sink w/disposal, coffeemaker, toaster, all utensils and cookware. Room was clean and comfortable. Daily maid service though plenty of towels... more

My extended family and two of my closes friends traveled down to Snow Shoe Resort Valentine's Day Weekend and were surprised how beautiful the resort is! The ride through the mountains was quite bumpy and after stopping to wait for our breaks to stop burning we finally arrived ay the snowy mountain top. We booked a two bedroom townhouse in... more

Family of 4, (kids ages 7 and 10) just finished 5 mid-week nights at Rimfire #428 a 1BR condo in The Village. The 4th floor was quiet (no tromping overhead) but the elevators were extremely slow and so we took the stairs alot - which was hard work in full ski gear with equipment! (we may stay lower down next... more

We are about to go on a return trip to Snowshoe in Feb. 2009 after the great time we had last season. We all love skiing/snowboarding and Snowshoe is our best option within driving distance. I will give you what I have found to be the best (cheapest) way to plan a trip to Snowshoe: Lodging- I checked with the... more

We stayed at Snowshoe during MLK weekend, one of the busiest ski holidays of the year. We were a little worried that we would be in for a weekend of long lines and poor customer service, but we were pleasantly surprised! Our accommodations at Rimfire Lodge were fantastic! We were given our room keys when we checked in at 3:30,... more

Recently went to Snowshoe- slope conditions were perfect! We stayed @ Snowcrest condominiums- near Soaring Eagle Lift- the condo was great for 2 people- very cozy with a stone fireplace, beautiful mountain views with a balcony. The place is very well run with a friendly on-site manager. Would prefer staying here than in the Village which can get noisy. more

After four years of not going to Snowshoe, we skipped the trip out west and went "back home" to where our life as skiers had begun. And it was well worth it. Snowshoe may not be the biggest mountain, but it is the most comfortable ski resort I've been to. I can't speak for the other reviews, but we have... more

Silver Creek at Snowshoe was a great resort but I would reccommend an area in the "village". The village is a great place to be especially for the winter. The snow was 90% man made so there was some icy patches. This area is not very good for beginners because they didn't have good bunny slopes. The resort was ok..... more

We stayed at the Rimfire Lodge in early December. We checked out the website to see the rooms. Conveniently the link to see the rooms was "temporarily unavailable." That should have been a red flag. My husband called and booked the room over the phone. He was told the Jr. Suite slept 4 comfortably. The cost was $300 per night.... more

Stayed at Rimfire - very nice! Loved the parking in the basement, lockers and hot tubs. The place was a two bedroom. A little narrow, but OK. Could also walk to the pool compex a ways down the street. Crowded but fun. I would stay there again. The great part about Snowshoe is that it is a real resort with... more
