Silver Creek offers good ski in/out at a nice price and is located on the resort's only night slopes. Rental facilities are on site, and the handful of food opportunities are passable and no more overpriced than anywhere else. I'd avoid the studios, which are small and can be dated and worn. These units seem like the entry price point... More

Rooms are nice. Each unit has full stove/oven, fridge w/ice maker, dishwasher, micro, pots, pans, dishes, plates, cups, coffee maker and toaster. The food at the Bear's Den is outrageously priced. You are paying for convenience and the food is not that great. Bring your own food and cook it in your room, much more ecconomical considering the price of... More

Take note. Every condo in this buidling is individually owned and I can only speak for the unit I was staying at. My family of four stayed two nights over the MLK holiday. We were on the first floor (wing 5) in a one bed room condo. We almost set the smoke alarm when we preheated the oven. Apparently, the... More

My wife and I spent MLK weekend skiing here with friends. We stayed in a room with a kitchenette and 2 bedrooms (2 connecting hotel rooms). The kitchenette had everything we wanted. It had a dishwasher, an American-size refrigerator, 4-burner ceramic-top stove, a tucked-away washer/dryer set, and all of the utensils we needed. We did bring a crock pot for... More

Overall, our first visit to Snowshoe was very good. We stayed at the Silver Creek Lodge for 4 days the week before Xmas. We had several minor issues with our room and with the HBO adult content, but the Lodge director called me personally to indicate that these were being addressed. Pleased with the feedback. Positives - Silver Tree slopes... More

Lesson #1: Check in is NOT 24 hours. We ended up getting in very late, and when we went to the Silver Creek front desk, there was no one there. We ended up having to get back in the car and drive to “Top of the World” (about a 7 minute drive) to find the 24 hour check-in. We actually... More

The room we had at this facility was very disappointing. The beds were horrible a twin sleeper sofa for my son we piled 3 blankets under his sheet to make comfortable and our pull down murphy bed wasn't much better. We don't recommend the "Studios" learn from our mistakes. There were two big positives for this facility -- how quiet... More

Very Private and Secluded, Maybe Only 14 to 20 Units inhabited Over the Laber Day Stay. With that being the case, it was probably why most of the facility's (eating/dining areas) were closed, there was a snack machine near the elevators and sports bar was open Saturday. As for entertainment, they had 50% of their arcade machines operating, sauna, hot... More

Silver Creek at Snowshoe was a great resort but I would reccommend an area in the "village". The village is a great place to be especially for the winter. The snow was 90% man made so there was some icy patches. This area is not very good for beginners because they didn't have good bunny slopes. The resort was ok..... More

This is the first time we have been back to the Snowshoe Resort since Intrawest bought the place. Intrawest's forte seems to be facilities because there has been a tremendous upgrade in the condos, shopping places and restaurants. If all the vacation involved was the facility this would be outstanding. However, since Intrawest poured all the money into the facilities... More
