For a budget-friendly, but still decent stay at Snowshoe, consider the Inn at Snowshoe at the base of the mountain about 6 miles away from the main skiing area. There are shuttles that run between the Inn and The Village/Silver Creek at the top of the mountain, so staying at the bottom isn't a problem In fact, it's kind of... More

Pros: affordable, breakfast is good and reasonably close to the ski slopes. Cons: The walls were extremely thin, no wifi at all or signal for that matter, tv had poor reception, the pool was dirty and the air conditioning kept the room at either extreme: cold or hot no in between, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the linens were... This is a mediocre hotel. If you want to save some money on a ski week-end, this is the place. I was here as bus driver layover weekend. There is Wi-Fi in the lobby. A limited continental breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, coffee hot chocolate. The one public microwave for the whole place in the place is there. Coffee service is... More

The age of the building is certainly starting to show. Only one of the 2 hot tubs was "hot". The restaurant is gone as is the full breakfast buffet they used to serve. They are starting to update some of the rooms but it's a slow go for sure. Expect basic needs to be met but not much else.

The Inn at Snowshoe is basically a 2 star motel. If it was along an interstate it would be a $75/night motel. The room "furnishings" are dowdy and minimal. No fridge, no microwave, poor lighting, no in room WiFi access, noisy, inefficient heating. During our stay, housekeeping did zero cleaning, did NOT leave soap/shampoo. They just remove garbage and make... More

This was my first experience at Snowshoe. We drove 4 hours from DC and stayed at the bottom of the mountain at the Inn at Snowshoe. We had booked a one bedroom but was given a 2 bedroom (not sure why) which came with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room that also had a pull out couch. As... More

The general feel was grungy...the hot water ran out for the entire night within 15 minutes of shower use and it took a handful of phone calls to the front desk over the course of 4 hours of nothing but them saying the hot water should be back within 30 minutes...then took 2 hours for the "service men" to come... I was very disappointed because I couldn't get in the pool! I am in a wheelchair and the 2 entrances had steps! No way to in to the pool area at all. I talked to the front desk ladies they thought I should call the ADA and let them know. My friends got in the pool and they said it... More

Spent two nights here, this week, and won't return as the hotel is barely open in the off-ski season. First, it's not actually at the Snowshoe Resort, but on the highway at the base of the mountain, just a few yards from the road up to the ski resort, about a 15-minute drive. Some maps show it on the top,... More

We all stayed at the Inn at Snowshoe last weekend. Appropriatly named because we saw snow at the top of the mountain. FOJ is friends of Jason weekend. Our friends always meet up at the same place on our motorcycles. The pool was nice and the sitting area. The rooms were very clean. Everyone in the group said they would... More
