We stayed here for 1 night because it was close to Cass and one of the only things that shows up in the area. The rooms at the Inn are old and they haven't even tried to update them. The room just smelled musty and old. At least they could replace the bedspreads, but they seemed to be at least... More

Snowshoe is an incredible resort bringing western-style slopes to the eastern seaboard with long runs and great snow in an exclusive out-of-the-way locale. The Inn at Snowshoe is the economy lodge at the base of the mountain. No frills but no high price either. Check for Stay-and-Ski packages on the website that'll bring your lodging cost down to almost nothing.... More

Let me start with the good, the pool area was clean and nice and the room was not bad, carpet was not filthy and the room itself had been cleaned. The bad, free wifi is ONLY in the lobby, there is NO cell service in the area, so you must use wifi to communicate with the rest of the world.... More

I always try to look for the happy things when I visit somewhere, but the Inn at Snowshoe had too many negative for me to overlook. I knew in advance of the cell phone signal issues (thanks Green Bank Radio Observatory), so I was not shocked to not have signal on the mountain. What I was disappointed at was the... More

Stayed here 5 days. No cell. Limited wifi. Full of students looking for cheap stay. Brrakfast was poor. Room did not get done due to some glitch. HUGE pot holes in the parking lot that nearly swallowed my Prius. The pool and hot tub was addequate. Shuttle service is good. Limited location to limited access to restaurants. If you like... More

We felt the location was great even though at the base of Snowshoe Mtn. It was right across the street from nice little grill and shop, etc. The rooms and bath were clean but dated. Elevator did not work when we arrived! Only one hot tub working. Breakfast was not so good but coffee was pretty good and hot! Lots... More

For a budget-friendly, but still decent stay at Snowshoe, consider the Inn at Snowshoe at the base of the mountain about 6 miles away from the main skiing area. There are shuttles that run between the Inn and The Village/Silver Creek at the top of the mountain, so staying at the bottom isn't a problem In fact, it's kind of... More

Pros: affordable, breakfast is good and reasonably close to the ski slopes. Cons: The walls were extremely thin, no wifi at all or signal for that matter, tv had poor reception, the pool was dirty and the air conditioning kept the room at either extreme: cold or hot no in between, the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the linens were... This is a mediocre hotel. If you want to save some money on a ski week-end, this is the place. I was here as bus driver layover weekend. There is Wi-Fi in the lobby. A limited continental breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, coffee hot chocolate. The one public microwave for the whole place in the place is there. Coffee service is... More

The age of the building is certainly starting to show. Only one of the 2 hot tubs was "hot". The restaurant is gone as is the full breakfast buffet they used to serve. They are starting to update some of the rooms but it's a slow go for sure. Expect basic needs to be met but not much else.
