Staying here you will step back in time to a darling little inn with a lot of history! My daughter and I were recently in the town of Sistersville for a pageant. Our whole family went and enjoyed our stay! Be sure to talk to the owner, he is very approachable and interesting! The breakfast is excellent!

If you are looking for the Hilton this is not your place. However if you want to take a step back in time you will not be disappointed. How many hotels let you order your breakfast from the menu no charge. and the dining room had a grandfathers clock that is to die for. It takes you back in time... More

We stayed for two days visiting family in Moundsville. We enjoyed our room at the Wells Inn, a room that took us back to the 19th Century, with its quaint beauty. Although we could have stayed in Moundsville if we wanted the sameness of one Holiday Inn Express we could find anywhere and everywhere, we chose the Wells Inn for... More

All I can say is don't expect ANYTHING special. The owner is rude and customer service is just as bad. The food was awful. Go to New Martinsville and stay at the Amerihost Inn and eat at Quinet's. Now, that's what you call home cooked good old fashion food. The Well's Inn when I was younger was the IT place... More

Another review from you? Seriously? We remember your group. Including going into areas that are currently not open to the public. The nasty personal comments are uncalled for and I think any reasonable person would see them as more of a reflection upon you than us. Which part of we are undergoing a heavy renovation did you have a problem... More

It is very upsetting to see what "could be" in terms of a truly unique experience, and what actuallly "is." This is a wonderful old building that needs ownership with some actual vision, taste and money. The current ownership apparently has none of the above, and they also have no idea on how to run a hotel either. With some... More

It is easy to make snide comments about other peoples’ businesses, isn’t it? I understand and at one point I used to do the same thing. And then we bought the hotel, fixed the damage caused when the former owner abandoned the property, and reopened it. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations and I do appreciate your... More

Called to see if they had any rooms on short notice for a family member. Person that answered phone didn't give name when answering. Told me he had a room but would only hold it for 45 mins. He didn't want my credit card number or anything when I asked. He stated he had to go because he had another... More

Yes, I probably came across as abrupt, and for that I apologize. I agreed to hold a room without the usual credit card (something I will not normally do) as I was also checking people into the hotel and cashing people out of the restaurant when you called. I agreed to hold literally the last hotel room in the region... More

While we did find things that detracted slightly from our stay (some black caulking looked like mold, but wasn't), and did find things that were a little odd (no light switch to turn off the bathroom light), overall we were pleasantly surprised at the old-world charm and great rate at this unusual hotel. We slept fine, with no signs of... More

The wells in is a historic hotel, they have many antiques and historic items that are cool to look at. I like the breakfast, it's usually nice and warm and the biscuits are really good. The owners and managers are really nice people and they will make you laugh when having a conversation with them. The rooms were decent, and... More

Stopped through on my way to do a ghost tour at the Moundsville Prison with a friend. I didn't stay the night but I was able to get a tour. The building is lovely & well kept. The staff are hands down the most friendly I have ever come across in any hotel/restaurant. Ate dinner in at their on site... More
