I'd highly recommend the Thomas Shepherd Inn to anyone traveling to Shepherdstown. The Inn was well-decorated and had ample amenities - we were very comfortable staying in our room or hanging out in the parlor. Lauren and Dave provide plenty of snacks and drinks for guests, and the breakfast was phenomenal - healthy yet filling. Also couldn't beat the location... More

Thomas Shepherd's Inn is a very nice B&B located at the end of a quaint downtown area with lots of nice restaurants and stores to visit. The B&B is clean and comfortable and the owner was very pleasant, but not overwhelming. She had sherry, tea and cookies out in the evening and her breakfast was excellent.

I recently spent 2 nights in Room 2 at the Thomas Shepherd Inn and was favorably impressed with all aspects of my stay. My room and all public areas were beautifully decorated; both breakfasts were exceptionally tasty, generous, and well-presented. While I did not meet Dave, Lauren was most cordial and informative. I would definitely recommend this property to those... More

I'm so glad I chose to stay at this Inn over the chains in the area for my brief stay in Shepherdstown. The value added by the pristine rooms, freshly baked cookies, snacks, and sherry in the living room, beautiful cotton robes, plentiful large towels, gourmet breakfast, gardens and porches, make this so much more than just a place to... This is a historic home in the middle of Shepherdstown and within walking distance to most things in town and a short distance to Harpers Ferry, Frederick and Antietam. It makes a good base for visiting these sites because it is close to all of them. We stayed in room number 3, which had a queen four-poster bed, small electric... More

This was only our second stay at a B and B, but I am won over. The room was comfortable, spacious and very well appointed. The innkeepers greeted us with delicious home baked cookies and hot tea. The breakfasts were phenomenal-eggs florentine perfectly done, berry smoothies, honeydew melon-mint soup, blueberry french toast. Much of the food-bacon, sausages, eggs, fruits-were locally... More

I stayed at the Thomas Shepherd Inn for one night while pedaling to Pittsburgh from DC on the C & O canal. I would definitely stay here again. After a long day on the trail I was greeted by the owner with a tray of fresh baked cookies and a hot cup of tea! Was offered a hose to clean... More

Never had been a fan of B&Bs, until I stayed here! The owners, Dave and Lauren, are friendly, warm, and helpful. Graciously fulfill guest requests. The homemade gluten free cookies and muffins are sheer delicacies. Public areas are big and comfortable enough for a larger group or a couple. The rooms are immaculate, so well appointed, and very comfortable. Small... More

we stayed at the Thomas shepherd inn for 4 nights and had a great time. We originally planned for 3 nights but we're having such a relaxing time that we extended our stay. This inn is close to town, antedium battlefield and the C&O towpath. Lauren and Dave were most hospitable. We are already planning our return trip!
