I didn't even stay because the woman was so rude! I booked a room for me and my husband for us to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. I did book it late when we were trying to go to bed because it was a last minute decision. I was also a little sleep deprived from our teething 1 year old daughter.... More

I wanted a quick escape for a few days, and found it in Shepherdstown. The innkeepers here are friendly, but not intrusive, the breakfasts are delicious! and the room was so nice that if I wanted to stay in all day, well, I would have felt justified. I loved it here, so why not the full on five star review?... More

We enjoyed a two night stay at the Thomas Shepherd Inn in a warm, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated (not frou-frou) room in November. The Inn itself is a solid, spacious, historic residence that is just a short walk from the center of Shepherdstown--the location of shops, restaurants, the Opera House, and Shepherd University. As vegans we were accommodated with... More

We are so glad that you enjoyed your honeymoon stay at the Inn and your visit to Shepherdstown! It's always wonderful to welcome two people who have found love to the Inn. As you discovered, we have great options for dining out for guests with special diet needs, and we're generally able to accommodate them at breakfast as well, with... More

We stayed here for a night while visiting Shepherdstown. Our room was beautiful and clean. The owners are very friendly and was happy to recommend some places for dinner for us. After spending the evening walking around town we came back and had a wonderful night sleep. In the morning we had such a delicious breakfast which consisted of fruits,... More

Thanks for your nice review - I can see from your other reviews that you hit a lot of the great spots in Shepherdstown for dining, not to mention our wonderful local pub. We're glad that you enjoyed the morning coffee and breakfast - we use a local roaster (Hypnocoffee) and we use many local products in our breakfast dishes... More

The Thomas Shepherd Inn is a quaint and quiet place in a quaint and quiet town. Even though this is a college town and the inn is located on the corner of one of the main intersections of town, I don't recall any undo noise. (However we were there mid-week, so weekends might be different.) The bed was very comfortable,... More

We're glad you enjoyed our stay, and took advantage of all the special things that Shepherdstown has to offer! We love that all of our businesses in town are locally-owned - you will often meet the owner when you stop by the shop or restaurant. We do like to keep our breakfasts simple - omelets, waffles, baked oatmeal - as... More

This is where you want to stay. We were a 'walk in'. We could not find a nice place to stay in Harpers Ferry so we wandered over to Shepherdstown, WV. A fortunate turn of fate. The Inn is an ideal B&B with great rooms and comfortable beds. Jeannie and Jim are wonderful hosts who offer a fine breakfast as... More

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic weekend at this historic B&B. The innkeepers Jim and Jeanne are hands-on managers who looked after all our needs. The rooms are well appointed, the breakfast delicious and creatively prepared, and the inn is perfectly located within easy walking distance of the center of Shepherdstown. Perfect for a romantic getaway, I strongly recommend... More

This was our fourth visit to the Thomas Shepherd Inn and once again we had a perfect three day mini-vacation there. Sitting on their beautiful upstairs porch reading, looking at the garden, listening to music, talking, being able to walk to dinner and strolling their main street, we relax as in no other place. Jean and Jim are perfect hosts,... More
