This was only our second stay at a B and B, but I am won over. The room was comfortable, spacious and very well appointed. The innkeepers greeted us with delicious home baked cookies and hot tea. The breakfasts were phenomenal-eggs florentine perfectly done, berry smoothies, honeydew melon-mint soup, blueberry french toast. Much of the food-bacon, sausages, eggs, fruits-were locally... More

I stayed at the Thomas Shepherd Inn for one night while pedaling to Pittsburgh from DC on the C & O canal. I would definitely stay here again. After a long day on the trail I was greeted by the owner with a tray of fresh baked cookies and a hot cup of tea! Was offered a hose to clean... More

This is a wonderful b&b close to Antietam and Gettysburg battlefield sites as well as Harper's Ferry.Makes the perfect place to stay in a small town which has a nice downtown and good restaurants- all a short walk from the b&b. Rooms are beautifully furnished and very clean. Ice, bottled water and wine glasses are there to enjoy on their... More

Never had been a fan of B&Bs, until I stayed here! The owners, Dave and Lauren, are friendly, warm, and helpful. Graciously fulfill guest requests. The homemade gluten free cookies and muffins are sheer delicacies. Public areas are big and comfortable enough for a larger group or a couple. The rooms are immaculate, so well appointed, and very comfortable. Small... More

we stayed at the Thomas shepherd inn for 4 nights and had a great time. We originally planned for 3 nights but we're having such a relaxing time that we extended our stay. This inn is close to town, antedium battlefield and the C&O towpath. Lauren and Dave were most hospitable. We are already planning our return trip!

We recently spent a night at this charming B&B and couldn't have enjoyed our brief stay more. New owners Lauren and David were helpful and charming, immediately making us feel at home. Lauren knew we needed a low carb breakfast and served a wonderful multi-course feast of deliciousness! This in addition to making available the evening before, some delicious gluten-free... More

My friend and I were providing support for our boys and their Boy Scout troop for their bike trip from DC to Belle Vernon PA. Lauren and David where gracious hosts and provided us with a scrumptious breakfast an hour earlier than the usual time. The home is beautiful and the owners make you feel like family. Would love to... More

You should visit Shepherdstown. It's one of the most beautiful little towns in America. Perfect, really. ...and when you go you should definitely stay here. It's a stunning old house right in town, and there is a world of things to do in easy walking distance. You won't find better B&B hosts, and the "breakfast" half of the two b's... More

My husband and I spent two night with the gracious, intelligent, caring owners of this historic and well located B&B. Lauren and Dave met us with warmth even though we were three hours early and gave us space to change so we could get bikes and go on the canal trails which are within bike and walking distance. We returned... More

I will preface this with.... I stayed with my two teenage boys ages 12 and 16. We were warmly welcomed, we were treated like family and the best part... what a beautiful, clean and inviting Inn! My 12 year old unfortunately was car sick on our way to Shepardstown, Lauren graciously offered to launder his yucky clothes and this was... More
