My friend and I were providing support for our boys and their Boy Scout troop for their bike trip from DC to Belle Vernon PA. Lauren and David where gracious hosts and provided us with a scrumptious breakfast an hour earlier than the usual time. The home is beautiful and the owners make you feel like family. Would love to... More

You should visit Shepherdstown. It's one of the most beautiful little towns in America. Perfect, really. ...and when you go you should definitely stay here. It's a stunning old house right in town, and there is a world of things to do in easy walking distance. You won't find better B&B hosts, and the "breakfast" half of the two b's... More

My husband and I spent two night with the gracious, intelligent, caring owners of this historic and well located B&B. Lauren and Dave met us with warmth even though we were three hours early and gave us space to change so we could get bikes and go on the canal trails which are within bike and walking distance. We returned... More

I will preface this with.... I stayed with my two teenage boys ages 12 and 16. We were warmly welcomed, we were treated like family and the best part... what a beautiful, clean and inviting Inn! My 12 year old unfortunately was car sick on our way to Shepardstown, Lauren graciously offered to launder his yucky clothes and this was... More

This is a nice B&B with an ideal location at the center of town. The owner gives a warm welcome and provides many comforts of home including a nice breakfast. We do not give it a high rating however. The reason is that when we spend close to $200/night we expect to have very comfortable beds with excellent mattresses. This... More

My boyfriend and I just returned from a wonderful trip to West Virginia, which was heightened by our stay at the Thomas Shepherd Inn! Being history buffs, we initially chose the Thomas Shepherd Inn due to its proximity to Antietam and Harpers Ferry. But this bed and breakfast has so much more to offer than just its great location. First... More

Shepherdstown is a gem of a town, and we loved being able to walk everywhere from the Inn. Our room was comfortably appointed, and the rest of the Inn felt unfussy and homey. Breakfasts were delicious and the afternoon snacks and cookies were really wonderful. We stayed in Room 1, with the king bed, which was sooo comfortable! We slept... More

For a decade, my beloved and I have sojourned to Shepherdstown . . . specifically to stay at the Thomas Shepherd Inn. Why? Is it "our room" -- the one that we felt so comfortable in (and the innkeepers NEVER forgot that I was allergic to down, so changed the linens and that one of us didn't eat beef or... More

I wanted a quick escape for a few days, and found it in Shepherdstown. The innkeepers here are friendly, but not intrusive, the breakfasts are delicious! and the room was so nice that if I wanted to stay in all day, well, I would have felt justified. I loved it here, so why not the full on five star review?... More

We enjoyed a two night stay at the Thomas Shepherd Inn in a warm, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated (not frou-frou) room in November. The Inn itself is a solid, spacious, historic residence that is just a short walk from the center of Shepherdstown--the location of shops, restaurants, the Opera House, and Shepherd University. As vegans we were accommodated with... More

We are so glad that you enjoyed your honeymoon stay at the Inn and your visit to Shepherdstown! It's always wonderful to welcome two people who have found love to the Inn. As you discovered, we have great options for dining out for guests with special diet needs, and we're generally able to accommodate them at breakfast as well, with... More
