Spent a weekend at this B&B. Plenty of available parking behind the inn. Greeted with a warm smile from Innkeeper Lauren. Very pretty common areas. Gluten free oatmeal cookies which melt in your mouth. Lauren and Dave are wonderful cooks and hosts. Breakfast was both hearty and healthy. Really great coffee. Freshly squeezed orange juice. recommendations they gave us for... More

Our opportunity to stay was regretfully limited to one night, but we fully enjoyed our stay there. The quaint inn is located within walking distance of the 11 downtown eateries in Shepherdstown, perfect for a short stroll and chance to hold hands. The well-appointed room was waiting after dinner, with very comfortable beds, and plenty of towels and robes provided.... More

I'd highly recommend the Thomas Shepherd Inn to anyone traveling to Shepherdstown. The Inn was well-decorated and had ample amenities - we were very comfortable staying in our room or hanging out in the parlor. Lauren and Dave provide plenty of snacks and drinks for guests, and the breakfast was phenomenal - healthy yet filling. Also couldn't beat the location... More

Thomas Shepherd's Inn is a very nice B&B located at the end of a quaint downtown area with lots of nice restaurants and stores to visit. The B&B is clean and comfortable and the owner was very pleasant, but not overwhelming. She had sherry, tea and cookies out in the evening and her breakfast was excellent.

I recently spent 2 nights in Room 2 at the Thomas Shepherd Inn and was favorably impressed with all aspects of my stay. My room and all public areas were beautifully decorated; both breakfasts were exceptionally tasty, generous, and well-presented. While I did not meet Dave, Lauren was most cordial and informative. I would definitely recommend this property to those... More

I'm so glad I chose to stay at this Inn over the chains in the area for my brief stay in Shepherdstown. The value added by the pristine rooms, freshly baked cookies, snacks, and sherry in the living room, beautiful cotton robes, plentiful large towels, gourmet breakfast, gardens and porches, make this so much more than just a place to... This is a historic home in the middle of Shepherdstown and within walking distance to most things in town and a short distance to Harpers Ferry, Frederick and Antietam. It makes a good base for visiting these sites because it is close to all of them. We stayed in room number 3, which had a queen four-poster bed, small electric... More

This was only our second stay at a B and B, but I am won over. The room was comfortable, spacious and very well appointed. The innkeepers greeted us with delicious home baked cookies and hot tea. The breakfasts were phenomenal-eggs florentine perfectly done, berry smoothies, honeydew melon-mint soup, blueberry french toast. Much of the food-bacon, sausages, eggs, fruits-were locally... More

I stayed at the Thomas Shepherd Inn for one night while pedaling to Pittsburgh from DC on the C & O canal. I would definitely stay here again. After a long day on the trail I was greeted by the owner with a tray of fresh baked cookies and a hot cup of tea! Was offered a hose to clean... More
