My boyfriend and I spent a weekend camping in the teepee village, because after I found out you could camp in a teepee there was no turning back. We had an amazing view of the rocks all weekend. It was rainy off and on throughout the stay, and there were no leaks inside. There was enough space for a queen... More

My family stayed in a room above the general store. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. TV reception was limited. The location had wonderful porch swings. The noise from the intersection of US 33/WV 28 can be loud in the late morning due to transfer trucks. Yokum's location near the best the Potomac Highlands has to... More

The family cabins have a great view of Seneca Rocks. Maintenance seems to be lacking however. The shower was clearly leaking behind the wooden wall by the shower head and the oven light was burnt out. IO mentioned this to the manager and was told that they can't find anyone to fix the leak. Otherwise a very nice visit. The... More

Our family recently stayed in cabin #23. The overall appearance from the outside looked to be clean....but just step inside and you will see differently. After being there for about 5 minutes our feet were completely black, from the dirt and grime on the floor. The sheets looked as if they had not been cleaned for at least 10 years.... More

We went on the spur of the moment without reservations. The main attraction was the location, and that the "cabin" had a whirlpool tub. The cabin was fairly nice, but filthy. The tub had a ring, so I cleaned it before getting in it. I had added bubbles, so didn't notice at first that the water was black, with chunks... More

I just returned from a two night stay at Yokum's Vacationland. Trust me that most of these reviews are not exaggerated. I called and reserved two of the kitchenette rooms over the general store. This was because of the reviews. I thought a view of the rocks, a clean bed and a nice shower would be a fine base camp.... More

Our family has gone to Yokums for 20 years now. Our son climbs seneca, his first experience was lessons to rock climb at age 14 he is now 28. So my husband and I decided to meet him at seneca. After 8 years of not being there we were excited to see the rocks again. We rented cabin n2. All I... More

Forty years of Yokum's has made timeless memories, but you better know what you're getting into. Everything in the reviews is accurate, but put together two families with some ammonia, disinfectant, time to complain a little and firewood, that burns, you'll enjoy the fellowship, views day and night, climbing and caving. We've threatened to bring our own couch, sure, but... More

We managed to lose our brakes at the base of Allegheny Mountain, with a stock trailer of calves, no less. So our stay at Yokum's motel was not only unscheduled, it began under about as much stress as you can imagine. But these folks were fantastic! They made numerous calls for us to find a mechanic who could accommodate a... More

The place that we normally stay was booked and this was a last minute getaway trip for my birthday. They rented us the "honeymoon" cabin for $140 a night. Upon arrival I was very disappointed when I entered the cabin. The jacuzzi tub was very old, cracked, and definitely not like the photos. The bathroom was very outdated as far... More
