This hotel is in a location that is good for weary vunerable travelers. It is a small, smelly and definiterly not up to Holiday Inn Express Standards at all. I stopped here for the night en route from Midwest to Southeast. It is conveniently located right off the freeway and there are a few restaurants around (all chains). The room was clean, comfortable, and up-to-date (I was in what seemed to be a newer back wing). Good free wi-fi service and decent breakfast (although not enough seating). more

We found the rooms to be clean, the staff helpful and friendly, the cinnamon buns most delicious and the beds very comfortable. We had a pet and there are areas close to walk them. Our handicapped person and was provided with the room next to the reserved handicap parking space. Would recommend to others as a good basic hotel. more

The breakfast was fine, the staff was very friendly. Stay here if you can't stay in Charleston and can't make to Ohio. We stayed on the I-77 side of the hotel -- if you make a reservation here, I suggest that you ask for the side that faces away from the interstate. more

Booked a stay here as a Christmas Eve stopover since I knew no restaurants would be open on Christmas Day and wanted a good breakfast before hitting the road. When checking in, we were then informed that they would not have the regular breakfast the next morning (just basic continental stuff) and would offer no housekeeping on Christmas Day either.... more

How bad was this stay? Let me count the ways. I had called several days in advance and booked three double rooms for our small group of church youth and three chaperones passing through Ripley.
