Returned from a 5 day stay...took our 11 yr old grandson... beautiful park, with awesome views of the mountains, the lodge is beautiful , with beautiful decor ,did not mind the dated decor, The grounds ,gardens are very well maintained. Our room was nice.. could have used more light..the exception is ,minimal cleaning of the room , it only got vacuumed once... If it wasn't for a family reunion that my family has every two years at Pipestem, I would not keep coming back to stay at the lodge there. I just returned from my third stay there, and it was probably the worst. While they have done some much needed renovations in the rooms, the decor is still very drab and... More

The park and the natural settings are top notch but the lodge needs work and the staff with a couple of exceptions need some lessons in consumer courtesy They are rude, trite and never smile. One ole timer at the front doors was very nice and gave you the impression the staff was going to be great. Once inside they... More

The last couple of times we visited Pipestem Resort, my husband and stayed in McKeever Lodge at the top of the gorge. This time, we decided to stay down in the gorge at the Mountain Creek Lodge Complex. It's sort of an adventure to stay down there, because you are dependent on the tram to take you to and from... Just returned from our fifth stay at Pipestem. We go with a golfing group of 20 each summer, and stay three nights. I always ask for a gorge view room on the 4th floor. These rooms have balconies and sliding doors, so yu can enjoy the view and feed the deer that stroll below the rooms. Our room had been... More

Our family hold our reunion here every couple of years. I always stay at the McKeever Lodge- others rent cabins. I must say it's a great value- there are alot of things to do- swimming, game rooms, 2 golf courses, disc golf, horseback riding, fishing, paddle boats, trails, entertainment in the ampitheater, and lots more! The place is clean and... More

This was our third visit to Pipestem and was the best yet. We wanted to share this beautiful state resort park with our grandchildren and booked a suite at McKeever Lodge for Memorial Day weekend. It was under $100 per night and was perfect for our group of five. We were informed by a friendly and helpful employee (and most... More

We stayed here for one night after making online reservations. First of all, what a bargain! We stayed in a mountain view room in McKeever Lodge and the view was stupendous for an almost ridiculously low price. Also, in response to the reviewer who mentioned not knowing about checking in at McKeever for the Mountain Creek Lodge: the website is... More

You can read about the great scenery and all the activities elsewhere, I just have a few more personal details on which to focus. Nowhere did we see any indication that we had to check-in at the McKeever Lodge even though we were staying at the Mountain Creek Lodge down in the gorge. No signs, no questions from the guys... Our room on the second floor had a wonderful view of the gorge and the woods. We weren't quite high enough to see all the way down into the gorge but for the cheapest rate I was really pleased. We could also look down and occasionally see deer nibbling on the well kept lawn surrounding the lodge. Unfortunately I wasn't... More
