Our room at McKeever Lodge had a view of the gorge (which one needs to request) and only cost about $55/night. There was no real advantage to getting the reservation through a travel website; it was just as economical to go through their own website, www.pipestemresort.com. Of course many of the trees are bare when we went around the Thanksgiving... More

This lodge is in a beautiful location and is a beautiful place itself. We stayed here for a class and enjoyed the amenities. The restaurant food was sub-par although an outside company runs that and is not under control of the state. We did not get to enjoy the pool but it was large. Do watch for the abundant wildlife... We have gone here for 25 years to a conference and have never been displeased. In factor my husband and I have spent many a New Years Eve enjoying the scenery and the peacefulness of the place. In fact it is one of our favorite places to go and not that far from home. For the last maybe 20 years... More

We were going tubing at Winterplace and decided to give this lodge a try. It's about 30 minutes from the ski resort, but the price couldn't be beat, and we thought we'd try something a little different. It was hard to decide whether to give this resort 4 or 5 stars. It's not something modern like a chain hotel, but... More

We stayed a the Mountain Creek Lodge which is located at the bottom of the gorge and only accessible by the tram. It was a wonderful experience - but next time we will probably stay at the main lodge - McKeever. While the tram ride to the bottom of the gorge was fun and scenic - it did restrict your... More

A beatiful place to find peace and quiet. Not a luxury resort, but it has everything that my husband and I were looking for as part of our Journey of Love. A spectacular view of the Bluestone Gorge and beautiful sunsets. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We had no reservation and thanks to the two young... More

We stayed in McKeever and had a room with a great view of the gorge through a full wall of windows and balcony. Beds were not the most comfortable but rooms were clean and well kept. Food was expensive and not all that great at the Lodge. (we took our own breakfast and lunch foods) We did eat at Mountain... More

This review is for the campground. Very woodsy which we love, paved roads and paved pads with fire rings BUT the sites are very unlevel. Had we not had boards we would have been way off the ground on one side. Saw plenty of other campers also that way. Close to other points of interest also. Road the tram down... More

Stayed in September. Great lodge and many activities. However, we had three of the worst meals ever, and poor food service. You may want to visit, but take your own food or eat out of the park. You can enjoy hiking, golf, swimming, and other activities. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Front is friendly and helpful. Nature park ranger gave... More

We had a very brief but lovely stay at the Pipestem Resort. We chose to stay in one of the cottages for the extra space (they have 2-4 bedrooms plus a kitchen). The cottages are certainly nothing pretty to look at and are dated, but are also very cozy, clean, and affordable. It appears that they do allow smoking in... More
