We stayed here for a week for the softball tournament in Moorefield. The ladies running the place were extremely nice and helpful.. The rooms were big and clean.. It looks old on the outside but our room was great. We were very comfortable and I would stay here again if I was ever in the area again.

Spent Saturday night at the Inn. I called prior to leaving home to inform them that it would be late in the day before I arrived. They were fantastic. The motel is indeed old, but very comfortable and clean. I definitely will stay at the Inn on my next visit to Petersburg. Both of the ladies I met when I... More

New owners are rude, they raised the prices and the rooms are still old and filthy!! We used to enjoy this place (the restaurant) and overlooked the run-down buildings but will never go again! There are many other places around petersburg to stay

The Hermitage Inn and Restaurant is now closed. For many reasons, as you can read the other reviews. The motel was very old and needed some major updating but the owner was too cheap to remodel. The case with old motels is that they look and feel dirty and gross if not updated and taken care of, which these rooms... More

We had dinner in the restaurant (we were staying elsewhere). My husband had the grilled pork chops, and I had the chicken livers wrapped in bacon. The entire experience was positive - we started with drinks (there are many wines and beers from which to choose). The homemade bread and honeybutter were a delicious way to begin our meal. The... On our way to Timberline Resort, we booked this location in advance. The picture looked nice but I should have thought twice when I saw on the website the owners were trying to sell it. Outside of the reasonable price, not much else could be said. The place was old and not well kept. The remote did not work and... More

My family and I took a much needed weekend to stay in cabins in Seneca and we drove to Petersburg for dinner. We found the Hermitage driving around earlier that day and check the menus it looked wonderful and it is an old house very pretty from the exterior. We went to dinner around 7pm and when we walked in... More

Stayed one night in the motel section of an inn that has obviously seen better days. With a decor straight out of the 1970's our room was dank and dark. The room appeared to be threadbare and smelled of stale cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room. I guess they forgot that they needed to clean the... More

We were here two years ago and the room was adequate for the price being charged. Nothing fancy -- just a place to take a shower and sleep. Two years later, the room was old, run down, smelled musty and smoky, the air conditioner was filthy, therefore it didn't properly cool the room, the bathroom floor was filthy -- not... More
